Eric Kent Wine Cellars

Eric Kent Wine Cellars We are a small producer of Sonoma County wines featuring emerging artists’ work on our labels. As a husband and wife (winemaker and artist) team we combined our passions to create a label that celebrates craft both inside and outside the bottle. Our goal is to capture a bit of the best California has to offer in every glass, creating wines that are proud of their bold fruit and yet still able to seduce you with their nuance and finesse. We hope this same attention to quality is reflected in the stunning art featured on our labels.

  Dry Creek Valley Syrah
We’ve always enjoyed deep, dark color on our Syrah and this wine is no exception. Our first Dry Creek Valley offering displays beautiful fruit and spice draped over a full yet surprisingly well proportioned body. Aromas of dark cherry, black pepper, cinnamon and smoked bacon are followed by a mix of blackberry, pomegranate and chocolate on the palate. A combination of strength and finesse, this youngster knows how to impress already. Give it just a bit of time (say, 6 months or so from release) and it will parade both style and flair at any dinner table or party. Then watch it develop into beautiful maturity over the next 3-5 years.
  Russian River Valley Chardonnay
A golden straw in color, the ‘05 vintage layers exotic spice and floral notes on top of a crisp green apple and minerality on the nose. Then the palate takes over with full flavors of honeydew melon and tangerine leading to a hint of hazelnut to round out the long finish. Bright acidity buoys the entire ensemble and keeps it lively throughout. Only in the background (where it belongs) does tight-grained French oak provide structural support that knits the entire package together. Delicious now, this Chardonnay should just get better and better over the next couple of years.
  Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Both in aroma and flavor, this rich and full-bodied Chardonnay is an easy crowd pleaser. But don’t let that fool you — it’s got much more than shiny chrome and a nice paint job. Pop open the hood and you’ll discover lively lemon-lime, custard and butterscotch that promise a bright and smooth ride from start to finish. What about acidity? We’re happy to report that you’ll find a crisp streak of the blessed stuff to lure you from one sip to the next. As with our last vintage, this bottling can cruise solo or park itself at the dinner table and feel right at home.
  Stiling Vineyard Pinot Noir
Our ‘05 Stiling Vineyard Pinot Noir is a beautiful example of this magnificent cooler vintage – bright and showy fruit supported by wonderful natural acidity offering balance and great potential for graceful aging. The nose is redolent of ripe cherries, rhubarb and rose petals with a touch of truffle, followed by cherry, dried cranberry and blackberry on the palate finishing with hints of green tea and black olives. Exuberant and richly flavored, yet refined and well delineated from the first sniff to the last drop. We're already savoring our first bottles, but look forward to trying one every 6 months over the next 6-8 years.
