Boitano Family Wines Boitano Family Wines is operated by four generations of family. Our mission is to provide elegant affordable wine from quality grapes grown in the Sierra foothills. The Boitano family started growing Sangiovese grapes in their Mokelumne Hill vineyard in 1999. The six generation mother lode family comes together annually to prune in early spring and harvest in fall. You can meet many of us by visiting our tasting room in Lockeford every Saturday & Sunday and most holidays. We pride ourselves in the quality and unique flavors of our seven sensational varieties Trebbiano, Viognier, Zinfandel, Barbera, Super Tuscan, Sangiovese. Only at Boitano Family Wines can you taste Santano Sangiovese (the people’s choose) grown in our Mokelumne Hill vineyard.

  2002 Viognier
Viognier has a very particular perfume of apricots, peaches, pears and blossoms. Our Viognier goes will with seafood and a variety of cheeses. You may enjoy it served slightly chilled.

2002 has proven to be a wonderful year for this Amador Shenandoah Valley Zinfandel. Just released and people are raving about the wonderful taste of this year's Zinfandel. Small amount bottled so do not hesitate! 2004 West Coast Wine Competetion "Silver"

Happy Valley is located just east of Mokelumne Hill in Calaveras County, Ca. It is home to Cattle Ranches and Boitano Family’s award winning Sangiovese Vineyard.Happy Valley Red is a soft delightful California Style Chianti Classico which compliments many different foods.
  Petite Sirah
This Petite Sirah comes from a vineyard noted for long lived, deep colored red wines with an affinity for barrel aging. A very versatile wine complimenting a wide range of foods. It feels like velvet in your mouth with heavy blackberry and plum flavors.
  Raspberry Sparkling Wine
A very light, fruity, and completely refreshing sparkling wine with a hint of Raspberry
  Santano Sangiovese
Beaujolais style wine made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the Boitano Family vineyards at the 1800 ft. elevation of the Sierra Foothills. This vineyard is located in the famous, old wine- producing area of Mokelumne Hill. To preserve the wonderful berry flavors, Santano underwent cold fermentation and was aged in stainless steel. Santano goes with a variety of food from soups and salads to heartier fare such as steak or pasta.
The most planted white grape variety in Italy. Here in California's sunny climate, Trebbiano grows to perfection. Made in the Tuscan style, this Trebbiano is very fruity and mild, complimenting a variety of foods.
