Belvedere Vineyards and Wineries

Belvedere Vineyards and Wineries Despite distinct differences among microclimates in which Belvedere grows grapes, all of our vineyards are located within a few miles of the winery, an important asset to the Belvedere philosophy. We believe there is something soulful about fruit grown in our own backyard, and proximity to the vineyards means we can watch the vines daily, picking the grapes at peak flavor. Since our winery is situated near the joining point of three renowned Sonoma appellations, our winemaker can produce wines reflecting several distinct terroirs.

  California Dry Rosé
The Belvedere Rosé is the perfect compliment for your favorite summertime foods. A juicy center of raspberry and red cherry all wrapped up in a crisp finish that invites another sip. The Belvedere Rosé is a Rhône style wine: dry and elegant, yet loaded with the lively fruit intensity of Syrah and Carignane.
  Healdsburg Ranches Chardonnay
Our Sonoma County Chardonnay comes from two of the most revered grape growing sites in California, the Alexander and Russian River Valleys. Though these two northern Sonoma appellations lie only a few miles apart -- linked geographically by the meandering Russian River -- they represent dramatically different microclimates. The Alexander Valley is warm and fertile, its fruit accordingly plump, ample and round. The Russian River Valley in comparison is cool, due to incoming fog from the Pacific Ocean. We have created a versatile blend which reflects both of these exceptional microclimates.
  Healdsburg Ranches Merlot
Released for the first time in March 2000, this Merlot is a blend from our two best Merlot vineyards, one in Dry Creek Valley, the other in Alexander Valley. Our goal was to produce wine that showcased the complexity of our Dry Creek Mountain fruit, while maintaining a smooth, silky finish while young. The soft style and rich aromatics of this Merlot make it one of our favorites. You will be surprised by the generosity found in this wine.
  Healdsburg Ranches Syrah
The grapes for our Healdsburg Ranches Syrah come from two hillside vineyards in northern Sonoma County. Our Rockaway Vineyard, 900 feet above the valley floor in the Alexander Valley, gives deep jammy fruit reminiscent of blueberry pie and homemeade raspberry preserves. The balance of the fruit comes from ourt Bradfor Mountain Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. Here rugged volcanic soils and high elevation give the wine backbone and breed, with characteristic hints of wild spearmint, carob and coffee.
  Healdsburg Ranches Zinfandel
Our Healdsburg Ranches Zinfandel is like no other Zin we have ever made: jazzy and fun, it's aroma overflows with raspberry cordial. The fruit bursts with summer berries, and the palate has a sweet, chuckling ripeness. It finishes soft and jammy, with a light, coffee-like dryness. Sip after sip, it's hard not to like: jubilant, zippy, never boring, the perfect companion for a new love, or a renewd one. Why not?
Jest Red Cellars NV Jest Pink
Uh-oh. Now you`ve done it. So near the precipice, so close to taking the plunge. Be gentle…well not too gentle. After all, you are standing on the edge of blissful self-discovery. Haven`t you had enough simpering reds mumbling tirelessly about their depth, their power? Aren`t you just a bit tired of those impotent, flaccid whites droning on and on about their complexities? Yes? Then perhaps, it`s time to cast aside those pallid imitations of a good time. Embrace the moment, revel in the now. Wrap yourself in the soft, luxury of cotton-candy coils and bathe in the dreamy pink pleasure.
Jest Red Cellars NV Jest White
This tempting ambrosia is blended from the most sensuous grape varietals lovingly pressed by the tender caresses of 69 nymphs dancing under the pale light of the full harvest moon. The exotic aromas of forbidden fruit and the essence of the one that got away tantalize the senses as a hint of risquÉ and a pinch of sweet nothings slips across the palate leaving behind a trail of honeyed kisses and the breathless anticipation of more. Sip delicately, sing with abandon.
  Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Classic Pinot Noir from a classic region. Russian River fruit is distinctive because it proudly wears a cloak of spicy black cherries. As the Russian River becomes more widely recognized for its tremendous potential with Pinot Noir, our supply disappears quickly!
Sonoma County Healdsburg Ranches Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet comes from two revered Vineyards, one in the Dry Creek Valley, the other in Alexander Valley. Fruit from our vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley provides structure and elegance, along with hallmark aromas of cassis, black tea and mountain herbs. While fruit from our vineyards in Alexander Valley add luxurious flavors of cocoa, black cherry and smoky-sweet spice. Together they make a Cabernet Sauvignon that we feel is an excellent example of an exceptional terroir.
