Adora Estate Winery

Adora Estate Winery Owner Reid Jenkins plans to give Adora winery a fresh start with a new name, a new building and new wines. This custom winemaker started in a highway-side facility south of Summerland. When the founding partnership dissolved, that facility was sold and Jenkins relocated the business for three vintages (2007 to 2009) to a packing house south of Oliver while developing a new 1,100-square-metre facility on the outskirts of Summerland. The new Summerland winery, expected to open in 2010, is about two and a half times larger than Adora's original winery, both to handle production for its own label, as well as for client wineries. The vineyard at the new winery is to be planted with viognier, riesling and varieties (chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier) that will support a sparkling wine program.

The inaugural 2000 vintage for Decorus features seductive flavours as tangarine, passion fruit, pineapple, melon, kiwi, orange and lime zest with an elegant velvet finish
The inaugural 2000 vintage for Maximus features dynamic flavours of black current, white chocolate, bing cherry, blackberry, dried cranberry and red currant jam with a smooth cocoa and nutmeg finish
Pure merlot picked at optimum flavour and tannin ripeness. Carefully destemmed and slow fermented, barrel aged, unfined and unfiltered into the bottle. Ripened with age and balance.

Fresh aromas of orange zest, juicy kiwi & soft summer fruit. Luscious mango, passion fruit & tangerine are dominant on the palate with hints of pomegranate, apricot & lime zest drawing to a close with a long smooth finish.
  Pinot Blanc
Fresh honeydew melon & soft vanilla bean on the nose. Ripe grapefruit, juicy green apple, guava & candied lemon complete the mid palate. A smooth lingering finish captures flavour & texture of vanilla cream.
  Pinot Gris - Barrel Fermented
This style reflects true integration of oak and fruit. Soft aromas of dried banana chips. Cashews and subtle tangerine are complemented by tastes of luscious grapefruit, nectarine and apricot. Smooth cream butter finish completes this wine.
  Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir 2001 was aged for 25 months in French Oak. This burgundian style wine is unfiltered and shows elegant aromas of dried strawberries, violets, soft cedar and eucalyptus. Hints of ripe cherry and raspberry, cassis, and currents tied together an espresso bean with candied cranberry finish. Wonderful complex end results.
Vintners' art. This fresh and frisky Riesling has a captivating balance of gooseberry blossom, orange peel and kiwi zest that drives the nose into a whirlwind of peach stone, apricot & juicy grapefruit flavours. A wine with intensity on the palate and steely mineral notes in the finish.
