Moonstone Cellars

Moonstone Cellars We have been quietly making wine for the past few years and are now ready to share it with the public. Our new tasting room is located in Cambria's "West Village" at 801 Main Street at the corner of Main and Sheffield Streets. There, amongst the sawdust from remodeling, you'll find open bottles of award-winning wines for your consideration. Our hours are 11am to 5pm Thursday through Monday (we stay open later on Friday and Saturday evenings). Wine tasting is $3 per person for seven tastes, or for $6 you can also keep the souvenir tasting glass.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
Wonderful aromas of cherry and black currant. Great structure with velvety tannins. This wine is the perfect compliment to richer meals like a well-marbled steak or grilled portabella mushrooms.
  Chardonnay
The fruit for this vintage was obtained from Scheid Vineyards in Monterey County. The Pineapple and banana flavors seem to jump right out of the glass. This Chardonnay was fermented in neutral barrels so NO OAK FLAVORS were extracted. The result is a crisp, clean wine that's great to sip anytime.
  Chardonnay
Barrel fermented in 25% new American oak to extract hints of vanilla without taking on the flavor of the wood. The flavors of this Chardonnay are more restrained allowing it to pair very well with most meals. It has a very smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a subtle, buttery finish.
  Merlot
A smooth character with aromas of black cherry, currant, tea leaves and a hint of oak. Supple tannins give this wine a soft texture on the palate. Delicious with grilled pork tenderloin, or an appetizer including havarti cheese. A great red wine for any occasion.
  Syrah
The 2003 Syrah is a excellent example of how rich and full red wines from Paso Robles can be. This vintage is lush with ripe berry flavors and a toasty vanilla bouquet. Enjoy this wine with your favorite hearty meal or while relaxing on (or dreaming about) the Central Coast with its wind-swept shores, foggy moods, dramatic vistas and spirit that engages the soul.
  Viognier
An ambrosia of floral, and fruit aromas of peach, dried apricot, and pear. A luscious texture on the palate. Flavors of citrus balance with a bracing acidity for a thirst-quenching finish. A fine wine to enjoy on its own or try with paprika-seasoned chicken.
  Zinfandel
This big zin boasts rich, elegant fruit flavors of raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry. Barrel aged with both French and American oak adds to the long, spicy finish. Enjoy with a pepper-rubbed flank steak, BBQ ribs, or paella.
