Patone Cellars
|
|
Winemaking in the Patone family can be traced back to Abruzzi Italy where grapes were harvested throughout the region to produce wine for family and commerce. Mario Patone decided to continue the family winemaking tradition when he founded Patone Cellars, a boutique winery, during the summer of 2006.
Merging modern techniques with traditional European methods, the handcrafted wines of Patone Cellars maintain the delicate balance between science and nature to ensure quality and taste.
Through the generous support of family and friends, the Patone family winemaking tradition of creating the highest quality wine continues.
Patone Cellars is planning to open to the public in Fall 2009.

Couldn't find the place! Wine passport had an address that was a building in progress. The second address online was a house. So we didn't get to taste a thing!!! Very disappointing!!! Not very good for business!

Generally not open to the public for wine tasting, but they were there during the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail event this year in a building this was still under construction and were also were at the Brandywine Food and Wine event this spring. I found (for my taste buds) that their Merlot was the best I have tasted anywhere in Chester County.
