Morning Bay Vineyard & Estate Winery Our unique gravily-flow winery uses natural processes to nurture wines that bear the stamp of hand-craftsmanship. Designed in the style of a barn, the two-floor winery keeps primary fermentation upstairs, in the "hayloft," and barrel and bottle storage in the "manger," where sub-grade construction and concrete maintain a perfect wine-aging temperature. Wines are easily moved using gravity and kept at the ideal temperature for fermentation. Our winery also features our Barrel Room, where private parties and suppers can be held among the barrels, with the soft notes of our grand piano in the background.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
Two years' barrel aging. Big berry nose gives way to concentrated fruit palate with a soft licorice finish. Medium tannins make this a prime wine for paring with any red meats, particularily lamb, and especially with wine reduction sauces. Old-world wine, best with strong foods.
This merlot from Orofino Vineyards in BC's Similkameen Valley is bright on the nose and the palate. Aged two years in used French and American oak barrels, it opens with ripe plums on the palate, then moves through a surprising range of spices from cloves to cinnamon, to a crisp, peppery finish. 120 cases made.
  Pinot Gris
Black Sage Bench fruit from Stone Boat Vineyards, This pinot gris is barrel-aged with big oak flavour, including carmel and coffee. Best paired with fowl, especially duck. Also good with any white meat or fish on the grill or barbecue.
  Pinot Noir
This lovely bright pinot is a blend of fruit from the crisp upper Naramata Bench and the more southerly Kaleden area, barrel aged in used French oak barrels for two years. The cooler 2004 vintage preserved fine fruit and berry nose. 350 cases made.
  Reserve Merlot
The 2003 version of our wildly successful Inkameep Vineyards 2002 merlot, this wine was barrel aged for over two years. Ripe plums and chocolate on the nose, this merlot starts with plums and prunes on the palate and builds to a long, pepper and chocolate finish. Best with red meats, especially game. But try it with chocolate. 120 cases made.
  Reserve Pinot Noir
From the hot Black Sage Bench, this ripe pinot is full of black cherry and tobacco. Aged two years in a mix of old and new French oak barrels, the wine has a full peppery finish. 250 cases made.
Planted in 1968, this riesling comes from some of the oldest vinifera vines in Canada on Inkameep Vineyards, owned by the Osoyoos Indian Band. The hot, early summer of 2004 ripened this fruit quickly, then a long, cool autumn preserved fragile aromas, to create this sumptuous but bone-dry Alsation-style riesling.
