Bryn Mawr Vineyards

Bryn Mawr Vineyards Bryn Mawr Vineyards Oregon pinot noir is an expression of the volcanic soils, the elevations and exposure, vineyard management of canopy and crop level, and the patient, timely processing of the grapes into wine. Specializing in limited production pinot noir and tempranillo wines, we invite you to taste the difference. At this site in the Eola Hills of the Willamette Valley, the terroir imparts unique flavors and balance in every vintage of wine. Farming sustainably, sheep graze the vineyards weeding and feeding the vines. Blocks of vines are kept small and native trees act as wind breaks. While the terroir and farming practices are responsible for most flavors in the wine, the complementary cellar practices act to differentiate these unique wines.

Follow Hwy 221 from West Salem or Dayton. Turn left if coming from Salem onto Zena Rd (right if from Dayton), then right onto Bethel Heights Rd. The entrance to Bryn Mawr Vineyards is at the one mile marker.

Bryn Mawr Barrel Select Pinot Noir
Our 2003 Barrel Select Pinot Noir is a blend from barrels that when combined, illustrate the idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its' parts! By using softer new barrels, there is a greater emphasis on the fruit components in the wine. The fruit takes center stage. Black cherry and black raspberry flavors are mixed with soft tanins and smoke. This is a bright wine with great color, youthful enthusiasm and a long finish. As of October 2005, this wine is starting to show it's potential. Drinking very nicely, enjoy now through 2008.Try a Vella Extra Aged Dry Jack with this Pinot.
  Bryn Mawr Reserve Pinot Noir

Black cherry and raspberry show the way, with nuances of earthly delights and chocolate cream soda on the finish. Drink now through 2009. Only 95 cases made. Try this wine with Manchego cheese from the La Mancha region, as in Don Quixote of.... This slightly nutty cheese is made from sheep's milk and is available in different styles.
  Bryn Mawr Reserve Tempranillo
The 2003 Tempranillo is a rich, dark, red wine with blueberry and blackberry flavors. The fruit is very forward. This wine is highly structured with firm tanins, yet has a soft mouth feel. Though still young, this wine has manners and respect. It is drinking well now, and with long legs it will make tremendous strides on its long journey. This is a wonderful wine that has great aging potential. Follow this wine as it matures, taste the elegance that emerges with the passage of time in the bottle!
