  Chardonnay - Fraser-Howard Vineyard
Our third harvest from this small vineyard located off Tesla Road in Livermore. This wine has a loyal following of those fans who love a smooth chardonnay with great fruit and lots of butter on the finish. Only 200 cases were produced and it will go quickly.
  Chardonnay - Livermore Valley
The grapes for this wine come from two vineyards located in the western end of Livermore Valley. Cooler air from the San Francisco Bay enters the valley here creating a microclimate which is cooler than most of the valley. This helps to slow the ripening and extend the time before harvest. The extra time the grapes spend on the vine intensify the flavor of the wine. The wine was barrel aged in older barrels to focus more on the fruit and less on the oak. Subtle oak complements flavors of melon and honey. Malolactic fermentation adds a delicate butter flavor to this classic chardonnay.
  Courtyard Red
Courtyard Red was made just for those lazy summer afternoons, listening to tunes with friends at Blacksmith Square. A full bodied red wine that will go with many different foods. It features bright cherry fruit from start to finish.
  Epic
A wine specialty store recently stated” a new effort that should appeal to any Cabernet lover, with its gutsy structure and dark imbued blackberry fruit. Funny thing, there’s no Cab in the mix. Hey, it drinks great!” We agree. Don’t attempt to anticipate its taste; it will only lead you astray. A BBQ of pork tenderloin will complement it nicely. This wine was recently honored by a very complimentary review by Narsai David on KCBS radio’s Food and Wine news.
  journey 94550
The wine’s name, “journey 94550” was selected to bring additional attention to the appellation, Livermore Valley, and to Livermore’s first downtown winery tasting room, “John Christopher Cellars at Blacksmith Square”. And thus, it is fitting for this wine to contain Petite Sirah, a varietal made popular by Livermore Valley, and Cabernet Sauvignon, a varietal of growing importance in Livermore Valley. “journey 94550” is a dry, full-bodied wine that is easy to describe, CHOCOLATE WITH A CHERRY FINISH. Need I say more?
  Petite Sirah - Califonia
Our newest Petite Sirah from my two favorite vineyards in Lodi and in the tradition of John Christopher Cellars’ Petite Sirah, this is a full-bodied red wine with a wonderfully smooth texture and great flavor of blueberries that will linger on your palate. A touch of vanilla and toasted oak add to this complex and intense wine. Exhibiting deep color and soft tannins, this is a wine that you can enjoy now or could easily lie down for a few years. Enjoy with red meats, especially lamb and steak or a hearty soup.
  Reserve Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
This superb Zinfandel was produced from grapes grown in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma CA. This is same vineyard as that of the 2003 Reserve Zinfandel. With the same intensity, structure and great fruit balance as the ’03, but in a dryer style. Tom says it is the perfect style blend of our ‘02 and ‘03 Zin (it has the body of the ’03 with the dryness of the ’02). For true lovers of Zinfandel, we think this may be our best Zin offerings yet. Pair it with full- flavored cheeses, pork, lamb, beef, or a hearty Veggie dish.
  Zinfandel -Dry Creek Valley
A lighter, fruitier Zin with plenty of spice in a dry, balanced style. It has flavors of cherry, white pepper and cocoa. This is a great wine to pair with food. Try it with pizza, pasta and red sauce, cheese and pears. You will love its compatibility!
