Adagio, a musical term indicating to perform slowly with passion, applies equally to wine making, music, and violin making. All require a commitment and passion and cannot be rushed.
Adagio Vineyards was founded on these principles, where slowly and passionately we hand-craft premium wines and violins.
Adagio Vineyards began as a shared vision of the ownersTim and Jan Wahl with the purchase of 45 acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. Over the next two years, the land was cleared and prepared for planting in 2009.
The vineyard currently has five acres of grapes planted with four varietals: Chardonnay, Traminette, Merlot, and Arandell. September of 2013 will be our first harvest for wine production at our new winery and tasting room, scheduled for completion this summer.
