This Chardonnay is dry, smooth and buttery with high acidity giving it a lightness that blends well with fish, light meals, lunches as well as pasta and white meats. This completely dry wine should be served at room temperature to experience its full flavors. The grapes are grown locally on Celilo Vineyard.
This Gewurztraminer is completely dry with enough acidity to create a very lively wine filled with the spicy tropical flavors so characteristic of this varietal. This wine is excellent with spicy meals, with lunches and is a wonderful light flavorful aperitif.
This Lemberger is fruity, light, and lively. The grapes, grown locally on Underwood Mountain, retain high natural acidity to go very well with a variety of foods. The Lemberger grape is, as far as we know, a relatively unknown grape varietal except in the Pacific Northwest. Its taste is big and fruity, and the wine is a cross between the complex fruitiness of the Pinot Noir and a Merlot. It’s a very interesting grape and makes a rich and fruity wine. Stylistically this wines follows our other reds; it has good fruit balanced with he natural acidity of the grapes together with 3 years of oak aging.
The Merlot grapes are grown on the eastern portion of the Celilo Vineyard. With the varying weather conditions in the Columbia River Gorge, in some years the grapes will ripen more than others. Our Merlot wines are full-bodied, with the characteristic natural acidity of the Columbia Gorge grapes, the combination gives a degree of "freshness" to the wines to counterbalance the rich fruit, unlike the typical Merlot found in the marketplace. This Merlot reminds one of ripe plums mixed with dark cherries. The higher acidity livens the wine to go well with many dishes such as lunches, cheese, and meat diners as well as aperitifs. It will please everyone.
  Pinot Noir
The Pinot Noir wine is made from grapes grown near 1200 ft. in elevation on Burdoin Mt. about 5 miles west of the winery. The vineyard has a strong south-facing aspect overlooking the Gorge. The soils are relatively thin overlain on deep basalt flows which characterize the Columbia Plateau.
This Rose is completely dry, rich in color, and its high acidity emphasizes its crisp, lively flavors hinting of tangerine and pears. We age in oak to give it greater depth and structure. This is unlike most Roses in the marketplace. The grapes used are Merlot and Pinot Noir and made from grapes grown from Celilo vineyard. Celilo Vineyard, with its deep volcanic soils, is located near 1,000 ft. in elevation on Underwood Mountain across the Columbia River from Hood River, OR. This wine has a strong varietal character that goes well with fish dishes (especially salmon) and poultry, or at a summer picnic. This is an unusual and wonderful wine.
This Syrah is a delightfully elegant wine reminiscing of raspberries and strawberries. This wine, with higher acidity, brings forth a lively character, the hallmark of the Gorge. This Syrah does very well will more formal meals and strong cheeses.
