Anakota Wines

Anakota Wines Sourced exclusively from Estate-owned Knights Valley vineyards, Anakota is a collection of single vineyard, single varietal Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon wines that exemplify the rustic elegance and spirit of Sonoma County’s Mount St. Helena. Situated in the flanks and foothills of Mount St. Helena, both mountain vineyards are brought to life as stressed vines struggle with rocky soils and challenging climatic conditions to create small, intensely flavored berries.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grow extremely well in our Napa Valley vineyards where the fuit fully matures and displays complex flavors and balance. The grapes were picked by hand in September and October 2001 and gently made into wine. Our Cabernet Sauvignon wine was aged in small oak barrels to enhance the fruit flavors and to lengthen the smooth finish.
  Helena Dakota Cabernet Sauvignon
The vibrant, dark ruby color of this wine is followed by a vivacious cherry and violet nose. The fruit-forward flavors begin with red berry enhanced by a slight hint of wood. Helena Dakota's powerful fruit flavor continues to unfold, with black fruit and a note of cedar. The impressive structure of this wine, coupled with soft tannins, lends to a long, refined finish.Remarkably soft tannins give this 2001 vintage wine a velvet-like quality.
  Helena Dakota Cabernet Sauvignon
"The Helena Dakota Vineyard 2002 vintage is a deep ruby color with saturated aromas of blackberry, dark cherry and subtle hints of oak. The dark fruit leads the way to a slight mineral finish with traces of cocoa and coffee. Supple tannins support a powerful yet elegant structure. Enjoyment is enhanced by decanting." - Pierre Seillan, Vigneron/Winemaker
  Helena Montana Cabernet Sauvignon
The fruit for this wine is exceptionally concentrated, as indicated by the deep, dark purple color, and the rich, black fruit bouquet. Although black fruit also prevails in the full-bodied flavor, hints of chocolate and espresso are present. Remarkably soft tannins give this 2001 vintage wine a velvet-like quality.
  Helena Montana Cabernet Sauvignon
"The Helena Montana Vineyard 2002 vintage is a deep garnet color that veers into purple. The fruit is concentrated and bright with an initial raspberry fragrance followed by black pepper, spice and cedar. Elegant tannins and velvety mouth feel characterize this bold and complex Cabernet Sauvignon with hints of black currant, chocolate and coffee on a very long finish. Enjoyment is enhanced by decanting." - Pierre Seillan, Vigneron/Winemaker
