Our Melomel is based upon a Hungarian recipe that employs old-fashioned European methods of winemaking. The fruit juice and honey are mixed and aged in Bourbon whiskey barrels for at least 2 years while no sulfites or other chemical agents are added or used whatsoever. The finished wine has a strong profile in both taste and smell that many compare to dessert wines, though we have both sweet and drier varieties available.
