first learned the meaning of the term "comrade" from my Russian father. It means a "warm and trusted friend". As a veteran firefighter, I have seen comradery in action, whether battling a blaze, attending to a medical emergency or sharing a meal around the firehouse dining table. Comradery means support, shared laughter, survival of spirit and knowing that someone is looking out for you. On days off firefighters like to share that same spirit of comradery with family, friends, good food and a hearty glass of Grebennikoff Vineyards FIRE ENGINE RED.

Frefighters Blend
The 2004 Frefighters Blend consists of 50% Merlot and 50% Syrah. This blend brings out the best qualities of our Merlot and Syrah. This is a wine that pairs well with a hearty meal or is enjoyable sipping just on its on.

Grebennikoff Fire Engine Red Merlot
The 2004 Grebennikoff Fire Engine Red Merlot is estate grown, produced and bottled, with a superb intensity and power that is quite a departure from most of the wimpy merlots on the market. A nose of Mocha, black cherry and spicy chocolate leads to a palate of well-extracted, juicy fruit framed by ripe, smooth tannins.

Grebennikoff Fire Engine Red Merlot
The 2003 Grebennikoff Fire Engine Red Merlot is a smooth mouth-watering wine, estate grown, produced and bottled. Each sip provides the palate with intense flavors of dark plums, backed with chocolate and a hint of spice.

Grebennikoff Fire Engine Red Syrah
The 2004 Grebennikoff Fire Engine Red Syrah is produced from grapes grown by our friend, Dale Ricci, at his Carneros vineyard in the southern Sonoma Valley. With rich fruit aromas, luscious mouth-feel and soft elegant tannins, this Syrah is destined to become the Merlot alternative for those seeking rich, round, well balanced yet softer style wines.
