Dunstan Wines Dunstan makes two wines from one place: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the renowned Durell Vineyard. The grapes for Dunstan come from the eight-and-a-half acre Ranch House Block alongside our home on the property.

  Carla's Vineyard Zinfandel
Carla's Vineyards, some over 100 years old, are mostly head pruned and dry farmed. They are located at the entrance to the San Francisco Bay in Contra Costa County, California. The sparse production per vine and the cool evening breezes produce perfectly ripe Zinfandel fruit. The vineyards are named after long-time grower Tony Cutino's daughter, Carla Meadows, who has been a superlative supporter of saving these heritage vineyards from the clutches of real estate developers. This wines possesses an enchanting, vibrant black cherry fruit in the bouquet. The flavors include rich black cherry, chocolate, currant and vanilla spice.
  Continente Vineyard Zinfandel
This historic head pruned and dry farmed vineyard is located at the foot of Mt. Diablo, just west of Oakley, in Contra Costa County near the entrance to the San Francisco Bay. The vines sit in a sloping sandy soil and many of them are over 100 years old. This rich and intense wine displays a bouquet reminiscent of black cherries with evident chocolate and succulent plums. The flavors are ripe black cherry with currants, anise and a hint of coconut. This wine is a tribute to the Continente family for preserving a treasured vineyard.
  Dry Creek Marsanne
The Marsanne grape originates from the Hermitage appellation of the Northern RhÔne Valley of France, known for producing majestic white wines. In the Dry Creek Valley, Marsanne has found the perfect new terroir, producing wines with the same characteristics yet even more flamboyant and exotic. The floral bouquet is intertwined with hazelnut and stony peach-like aromas with hints of orange blossom and tangerine. The palate is extremely rich and layered with vibrant peaches, roasted almonds and honeysuckle. The perfect companion to shellfish, pasta in cream sauces, or as an aperitif.
