Farmington River Red
This year’s Farmington River Red is fashioned after the great Super-Tuscans of Italy. Sangiovese grapes are complemented with a background of Merlot and Cabernet. The result is a classic Mediterranean-style wine featuring complex and intense fruit notes with aromas of plums, currants, vanilla, and a hint of chocolate.
|
Lou’s Red
Against a background of California Merlot grapes, Lou’s Red weaves in the brightness of Rosedale’s estate-grown St. Croix and the deep blackberry flavors of our Marechal Foch. The result is a delicate and complex fruit-forward wine with subdued tannins.
|
Serendipity
A truly serendipitous blend of our Vignoles, Traminette, St. Pepin, Vidal and Hungarian Bianca grapes, Serendipity is fermented in stainless steel with a yeast isolated in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux. The wine has an intense and complex direct-fruit style with a lingering finish.
|
Simsbury Celebration
A blend of 100% Simsbury-grown Seyval Blanc and French Meynieu grapes, Simsbury Celebration presents a complex bouquet of citrus flavors with mineral overtones drawn form the soils of the Farmington River Valley.
|
Summer Bouquet
Rosedale’s Seyval Blanc and Vidal grapes move to a new level when married with the essence of red raspberry. With a semi-dry finish, this wine offers a floral bouquet of citrus and ripe raspberry. A flavorful accompaniment to a meal or as an accent to dessert.
|
Three Sisters
Fashioned from 100% Rosedale grapes, Three Sisters showcases the Alsatian style of delicate fruit and the nose of the Cayuga grape. It is delightful as a summer afternoon cocktail and can be a sophisticated accompaniment to meat and fish dishes.
