Illuminare Estate is located in the heart of Apple Hill in the picturesque Sierra Foothills. The Hill Family welcomes you to our El Dorado boutique winery specializing in small lots of limited production wines. We strive for maximum extraction of such California varietal favorites like Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Barbera and more. Our cozy tasting room offers you the opportunity to try some new wines and meet some new friends. We believe in the celebration of life, family, and friends and of course wine. We look forward to meeting you. You can find us in the "Camino Wine Tasting" plaza east of Placerville on Highway 50.

Directions
We are located in the Camino Wine Tasting
plaza at 3500 Carson Rd. When coming up
Highway 50 go through Placerville and turn
left at the Carson Rd. / Apple Hill Dr. Exit.
Take an immediate right onto Carson Rd.
and go past Apple Mountain Golf Course.
We are immediately on the right.

This is truly a robust wine. From a vineyard that has very little water, the result is a very bold wine with a very smooth finish.

This very delicate, velvety, syrah has a touch of vanilla on the finish from aging on new French oak.
