All of the La Vie Vineyards wines are lovingly crafted by Ariel & Angela Lavie with the highest quality ingredients, are youth inspired and are produced in extremely rare quantities. Our Pursuit of fine wine led us to the Santa Rita Hills in western Santa Barbara. Pinot Noir & Chardonnay rule all of coastal California hillsides from Santa Barbara to Sonoma counties. The vineyards we select are located in the optimal areas for these varieties; most of the vines are grown with balanced bio-dynamic farming practices at the best sites. In the winery great care is taken to delicately process the grapes, so the vineyard's individuality is expressed in the glass. These wines evolve and may benefit from a decanting prior to drinking, developing multiple aromas and flavor profiles over a 24 hour period. Enjoy!

Black Mountain Reserve Pinot Noir Sant Lucia Highlands
An excellent intense concentrated vintage for California especially for the Santa Lucias. Dark berries, chocolate, and violets blend together to create a truly decadent wine. Superb balance of ripe flavors, tannins, and acidity. Lengthy and complex in texture yet maintains classical varietal expression.

Rasta Rita Pinot Noir Old Vines, Santa Rita Hills
Similar to the 2002 vintage, but more robust, spicy and voluptuous. The 2003 Rasta Rita was vinified from grapes grown at the Old Sanford & Benedict Vineyard. The vineyard won’t be farmed organically in the future, so this will be one of the last organic Pinot Noirs produced from this vineyard.

Rasta Rita Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills
This massive wine displays aromas of Blackberry, Cranberry, Currants, and Spice. Densely structured in the mouth, layers of Cherries, Pepper, Toffee, and Graphite find harmony with exotic Nutmeg, Cocoa, Vanilla, and cedar, finishing with lingering tannins of tight-grained, toasty oak.

An expression of the beauty of Pinot Noir. Santa Barbara County has been producing opulent Pinot Noir for decades and is celebrated by ourselves and many others. This is a vibrant Pinot Noir with classical cherry and cranberry aromas accented by spicy cedar nuances. Chalky textures on the mid-palate develop into a lengthy finish filled with cola, vanilla, and chocolate flavors. Minimal new oak was used to preserve the delicate quality of this wine. ‘Pretty in Pinot’ has been blended to be gorgeous whenever….drink now or savor for years to come.

Ray's Cuvee, Santa Lucia Highlands
A light and feminine fruit forward wine with intoxicating aromas of rose petals, and ripe strawberry twisted together with candy caramel, Cherry Cola subtleties. A very supple soft Lingering finish with a touch of residual sugar. This wine is a blend of Santa Lucia (85%) and Santa Barbara County (15%) pinot grapes.

Vigna Monte Nero Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands
A medium bodied Pinot expressing fruity and lustful aromas of Strawberries and Smoked Meats. Burnt Cherries, Raspberries, Cocoa, and Plum integrate into a lean, sultry finish. This bottling is the first vintage from the Vigna Monte Nero Vineyard, and should mature nicely in the next years.
