  Alder Springs Vineyard Chardonnay
The 2004 Alder Springs Chardonnay is a dense and concentrated wine with aromas of wild flowers and spicy pears and silky rich flavors of honey and hazelnut in the mouth.
  Alder Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir
Patz & Hall 2003 Alder Springs Vineyard Mendocino Pinot Noir This marks the seventh release from this remarkable Mendocino site, located at 2,100 feet on the flanks of Cato Peak in northern Mendocino. At this ultra high elevation, the vineyard produces some of the lowest yields we see each year. 2003 was one of the higher acid, more focused vintages in Mendocino, yielding less tannin and a firmer texture, more typical perhaps of Burgundy than California Pinot. Elegant and detailed aromas of black plum and spice mingle with a typically Alder nose of smoke, cocoa, and coffee notes.
  Burnside Vineyard Pinot Noir
This wine year in and year out is a tour de force! A full slate of aromas compete for attention: blueberry, cardamom, nutmeg, star anise, and cherry pie; every sniff reveals some new facet. Extremely dense and layered, with a marathon of a finish, the 2004 Burnside is one of the biggest, most textured Pinots we have yet produced.
  Durell Vineyard Chardonnay
Patz & Hall 2004 Durell Vineyard Sonoma Valley Chardonnay This is our fourth release from this iconic Sonoma vineyard. Located along an ancient streambed, this is the rockiest site we work with in Sonoma. It’s nothing but cobbles and gravel, with the occasional patch of sandy loam peeking through. Every year this site builds complexity and density as the vines wrestle for a foothold in the challenging soils. Their struggle is your gain — dense with a creamy minerality complemented by a knock out nose of honey, white flowers and warm, buttery, shortbread.
  Dutton Ranch Chardonnay
The 2004 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay exudes exotic aromas of passion fruit and spice box framed by bright flavors of citrus, apple and ripe pineapple. Creamy and succulent, the finish flows gracefully into lingering flavors of lemon cream and white peach.
  Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay
Ripe and concentrated with a snappy minerality that produces vibrant tension on the palette. There is a characteristically enticing scent of orange peel, with hints of citrus blossom and mango in the aroma. In the mouth, the 2004 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay is crisp and elegantly focused with flavors of peach, summer melons and a hallmark taste of orange liqueur.
  Hyde Vineyard Pinot Noir
The Hyde Vineyard Pinot Noir is famous for dense flavors that seem delineated and precise while continually shifting and changing: red raspberry and strawberry, then dark plum, espresso bean, and then back to Bing cherry. With its variety of flavors and lovely clove and cinnamon notes, this wine is both vociferously expressive and elegantly composed.
  Napa Valley Chardonnay
Year after year, this is one of our most popular wines- our 16th vintage of this cuvee. This is a blend of several superior Napa Valley vineyards showing the classic proportions of the appellation. There are aromas of peach pie, pineapple and orange zest. The 2003 Napa Valley has bright ripe flavors of apple, lemon curd and crème brulee and finishes with hints of white chocolate, lychee and nutmeg.
  Napa Valley Chardonnay
Patz & Hall 2004 Napa Valley Chardonnay continues the 17th-year tradition of this blend with bright, complex fruits (pear, peach, melon) tempered with layers of spicy, yeasty brioche and toasted hazelnuts. Like all the 2004 wines, this is showing well, even at this early stage in what is sure to be a long life.
  Pisoni Vineyard Pinot Noir
What can I say about this site? Now justifiably world famous, the 2003 once again proves why people can’t stop talking about Pisoni. This is the darkest Pinot of our 2003 vintage, almost black with a deep blue rim. It has a super nose of cherries and blueberry cobbler with layer after layer of flavors and aromas. Spicy one minute, then a hit of jammy fruit, then a licorice, fennel note — “gymnastics in a glass” is how one enthusiastic taster described the wine. With dense, sweet tannins with firm acidity, this wine is just hinting at its potential. If you are a Pisoni fan (aren’t we all?) then make room in the cellar for a couple of bottles of this beauty. Of all of the great Pinots we made in 2003 this is my bet for the wine that will age the best.
Russion River Valley Chardonnay, Dutton Ranch
Our sixth release from this iconic Russian River Valley farming family. Blended from four parcels all planted with different clones of Chardonnay – Mill Station, Sebastopol, Rued –Old Hill (Planted in 1969!) and Morelli Lane. Scents of lime peel, fresh green apple and exotic clove-floral notes. Penetratingly fruity. Mouth watering, crisp acidity knits together the silky, nutty, yeasty notes on the long finish. Youthful now, this wine will drink well for many years to come.
  Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
2004 marks the third release of our Sonoma Coast Cuvée. Many of you are familiar with the 14 vineyards in this blend, most of which have appeared in our previous Pinot cuvées. The big news in the 2004 blend is the addition of Parmalee-Hill Vineyard. Farmed by Steve Hill, one of the legends in Sonoma viticulture, we are thrilled to be a part of this super vineyard. It has markedly elevated the depth and texture of the Sonoma Coast Pinot. Dark red almost purple in color, it shows bright, delineated aromas of raspberry, cherry and cranberry interwoven with a spicy clove and five-spice component. Dense and supple, this wine assimilated the 50% new French oak effortlessly. It is surprisingly elegant with great purity and freshness.
  Zio Tony Ranch Chardonnay
This is a spectacular new wine for Patz & Hall. Lee Martinelli named this site to honor his Uncle Tony. The grapes are a combination of Dijon clones 76 and 95. The vineyard has the famous gold ridge soil and our parcels are located on top of a gentle sloping hill. The Zio Tony Ranch has aromas of citrus blossom, allspice and honeydew. The flavors are mouthwatering- ripe pear, lemon candy with a deep mineral core, finishing with mango and lime peel.
  Zio Tony Ranch Chardonnay
This amazing site owned and farmed by the famous Martinelli family of Russian River has delivered one of the finest Chardonnays we have ever produced. The depth and complexity of this ultra low yielding vineyard must be tasted to be believed. Available exclusively to our Patz & Hall Wine Club members
