Oro Puro Vineyards

At Oro Puro Vineyards, nestled on the southern end of the Silverado Trail, we handpick our Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes in late autumn. We then ferment and age the wine in mostly new small french oak barrels. The wine explodes with the sweetness of exotic fruits and the richness of the Napa Valley sun.

Rancho de Oro Puro
We produced 73 cases of half bottles and 2 cases of 750 ml of our 2004 vintage. The grapes were harvested on three different dates in October, November, and December. Brix at harvest ranged from 28 to 50 and the resulting wine higher residual sugar than previous vintages at around 8.5% and a lower level of alcohol. This vintage is vibrant with wonderful grapefruit, citrus and tropical fruit flavors combined with a full rich sweetness and tangy acidity. We and Abe think this is the best vintage of Oro Puro Vineyards yet!

Rancho de Oro Puro
Our 2003 vintage has an alcohol level a bit lower (around 14%) than the previous vintages and the residual sugar is 4.8%, leading to a refreshing, balanced dessert wine. This vintage is rich and complex with a palate of pear and tropical fruits. As with previous vintages, it will continue to develop in the bottle for many years to come. By the way, if you have a bottle of 2001, you should try it now as well. It’s amazing.
