Pretend that you are far away in the Northern California wine country tucked away in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County. High upon a hill nestled into the side of a hill is our subterranean winery. Jay and Barbara Fritz purchased this pristine property in 1970. After spending get away weekends from San Francisco at this rich Sonoma property for many years, the Fritz family decided to build a winery in 1979. Today our credo is to approach winemaking as an art form. Art, in its truest sense, inspires a shift in consciousness. Our mission is to create wines of genuine artistry, capable of transforming the way we think about the potential of Sonoma County's premier appellations. The new generation of Fritz wines began with a commitment to unequivocal quality. Since 1996, changes at Fritz Winery have been swift and dramatic: Volume has been slashed by two-thirds to only 12,000 cases per vintage. New winemaking equipment is both esoteric and state-of-the-art. An underground cave ages all red wines. The vast majority of wines are vinified on native yeast. All white wines are currently single-vineyard designates, with red wines now in barrel soon to follow suit. The result? Cognoscenti now rank Fritz wines among California's top tier producers. Our limited edition wines now command a following among serious collectors. One hundred per cent of Fritz wines are sold on allocation. And the best is yet to come. Keep in mind that our vineyards are our greatest asset. Like the most celebrated wines of France, our limited edition single-vineyard wines showcase the singular expression of each superb viticultural site. From the perfect microclimate of the Dry Creek Valley, we produce Sauvignon Blanc, Old Vine Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Since we have the best of both worlds, we also have property in the very cool growing region of the Russian River Valley where we produce world class single vineyard Chardonnays.

Winery is on the left at 24691 Dutcher Creek Rd. From the North (Ukiah/Cloverdale): From Hwy 101 South, take the exit toward DUTCHER CREEK RD/STEWARTS POINT. Turn right on THERESA DR. for one block. Colmbini Carignane
A Rhone blending wine bottled as its own Varietal. Our 100% Carignane is a stunningly deep purple. Rich and full on the palate, it explodes with ripe plum, dark blackberry and red licorice and finishes like satin.

Dry Creek Cabernet
An elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, showing concentrated cassis with blackberry bramble, black currant and mint flavors that are typical of the Dry Creek Valley. Hints of chocolate, tobacco and cedar cover the mid palate, leading to a long silky finish. Its fruit is from both the valley’s sunny eastern slope and protected western slope, offering structure with a nice lingering finish.

Estate Sauvignon Blanc
This is our first release of 100% Estate Sauvignon Blanc! The color is brilliant and crystal clear. Limes, grapefruit and tropical essences combine together on the palate. This wine is round and full.

Fritz Rogers` Reserve Zinfandel
The non-irrigated hillside vines are over 100 years old. Highly extracted fruit, which is incredibly deep and concentrated meld together with well-integrated oak and some marvelous tannins. The fruit from this vineyard has been artfully crafted into a true Zinfandel lover’s treasure. This is a must-have wine for those who collect.

Fritz Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc
This version of Fritz Sauvignon Blanc is a special blend of two vineyards-our Estate Jenner Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley and the Poplar Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.
Grapefruit, lemon and litchi aromas are followed by acacia, honey and essences of fresh cut Granny Smith apples. This wine is crisp, light, fresh and finishes delicately.

Late Harvest Zinfandel
Rich and robust, this port-like dessert wine combines deep raspberry and ripe black cherry flavors with caramel and toasty spiciness. Natural sweetness combined with delicately balanced acidity – dessert in a glass!

Late Harvest Zinfandel
Save the best for last. This sumptuous desert wine made from “Late Harvest” grapes is a specialty of Fritz Winery. When weather permits, we allow a few grapes to remain longer on the vine for higher sugar content and flavor intensity. The result is this naturally sweet, Port-style wine - a rich, warm, and expansive expression of Zinfandel’s greatest potential. Pair it with chocolate and raspberries, or serve a solo glass of ruby richness - the most sublime dessert of all.

in the West Dry Creek Valley, this wine belongs in the cellar of any true Zinfandel lover. Multilayered flavors of raspberry, plums and earth. Light in the mouth, heavy in complexity.

Russian River Chardonnay
A classic golden straw-colored Chardonnay, showing a full body with the elegance of a crisp finish influenced by the coastal fog the Russian River Valley. This wine features a beautiful balance of tropical fruits, mineral notes, oak and bright lively acidity. This balance will offer fullness in the mouth, without being unctuous, and ends in a delicate lingering finish.

This cuvee is a blend of two prized Dutton Vineyards in the world class Pinot Noir producing Russian River Valley. Strawberry, sour cherry, cinnamon and vanilla come beautifully together in an explosively powerful vinous statement

Russian River Pinot Noir
This cuvee is a blend of Dijon clones from the fog influenced Whitton- Goff vineyards near Graton, in the Russian River Valley. It’s a ruby red Pinot Noir that shows ample black cherry and plum, with hints of spice, leading to a very pleasant and long finish.

Ruxton Vineyard Chardonnay
Hints of fresh pear and litchi round out into a creamy voluptuous mouth feel finishing with essence of butter. This wine is delicate and pretty.
