Zinfandel: Just down the road from our place, Amador County boasts some of the oldest Zinfandel plantings in California. This 2002 is a dark and generous Zinfandel, spicy and long. We think it is a great barbecue wine: ribs, burgers, sausages - what fun!

Cask 99 Port: Blended from several varieties grown in select vineyards, this fruity Port is ready to enjoy now. Cask 99 Port is an ideal exclamation point to finish a fine meal, served with cheese or a favorite dessert.

Our 2002 Lodi Old Vines Zinfandel is a dark and full-bodied Zinfandel, capturing the spice and black cherry fruit of sixty year old vines. It will no doubt improve with 2-3 years of aging, but frankly, we can’t resist it even now.

Petite Sirah is the “Big Jim” of wine grapes. Black as night, our 2002 Lodi Petite Sirah is not for the faint of heart. Big and Bold, it is surprisingly complex. We like to serve it with those intense foods that intimidate lesser wines.

Chardonnay with no oak! This 2002 Napa Valley Chardonnay presents pure, ripe Chardonnay fruit: spicy apple, hint of butterscotch on a rich and creamy frame. We like it with many different dishes, but none better than roast chicken - don’t stint on the garlic!

Syrah: From a high elevation vineyard in nearby Nevada County, our Syrah is a deep-colored, full-flavored example of this famous variety. With low tannin, and fruit forward it is, we think, the perfect wine for herb-scented lamb.

Sauvignon Blanc: The mountain vineyards of Lake County grow some exquisite Sauvignon Blanc, pure and expressive. Yellow straw in color, our 2003 presents an interplay between kiwi and ripe tropical fruits. Dry and crisp, we think it is the ideal wine for fish - in fact, you might say “we’re hooked!”

Vintage Character California Port: Our Vintage Character Port has a deep color and intense complexity of Vintage Port, tempered by long aging. Smooth and silky, it is a fine match for all things chocolate.
