Chuckanut Ridge Winery

Chuckanut Ridge Winery Located in Bow, Washington, we focus on making big wines that are packed with character, flavor and structure. Our hand-crafted, award-winning wines are delicious if consumed immediately, or they can be cellared several years. We employ an extended-maceration process after primary fermentation. After completing primary, the skins are punched down twice a day and blanketed with inert gas. This continues for two to three weeks until the cap sinks, at which time the wine is pressed off. The maximum extraction of the phenols and softer tannins from the skins creates wines that are very drinkable at a young age while retaining sufficient acid structure to age nicely.

Recommended by Wine Press Northwest Magazine! A deep, complex Cab that opens with classic aromas of leather, anise and oak, followed by flavors of blackberries, sweet spices and coffee. Ample tannins and acidity balance the fruit, so this young wine is likely to improve even more with a bit of cellar time. VERY LIMITED SUPPLY.

Crisp, clean and dry in the front and mid-palate, finishing with notes of creamy pear. Perfect for a spring or summer picnic. 100 cases produced.
  Red Blend Chuckanut Ridge Bad Bunny
A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, this wine is a big, jammy, in-your-face red. It is easily approachable now but has plenty of backbone and structure to cellar nicely. Great label, too, by Bellingham, Wahington artist Tom Wood. 210 cases produced.
  Syrah Chuckanut Ridge Crawford Vineyards
SILVER Medal Winner, 2005 Northwest Wine Summit. Rated OUTSTANDING by Wine Press Northwest Magazine. Notes of coffee and chocolate on the nose, with subtle mint and cherry flavors followed by a long, delicious, coffee-like finish. 154 cases produced.
