Cedergreen Cellars

Cedergreen Cellars Cedergreen Cellars is a family run winery. Founded by former Eastern Washington kids, Kevin Cedergreen and Julie Baker Cedergreen, who played hide and seek in the sagebrush, watched their playground change to vineyards and now seek the great wines that issue from the soil and sun of the Columbia Valley. Our focus is finely crafted wines with an eye on the fruit and bright flavors that are a dividend of our warm days and cool nights. We believe our wines deliver their optimum expression in the dining room. Experience garnered working at wineries in Washington State and New Zealand has shaped our wine making philosophy. We make wine that captures the essence of harvest. Awe inspiring fruit, handled with care, short hours from vine to the winery and a light hand combine to create a wine that shows the best the fruit has to offer. Look for our wine in restaurants and wine shops in the fall of 2004.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from a single vineyard, focusing on bright fruit expressions with subtle toasty notes. Aromas of earth, dark chocolate and black cherries make the memory sweet. Dee-lish... As with many fine wines, this Cabernet Sauvignon will benefit with decanting 1 to 3 hours prior to serving, depending on age.
  Chardonnay
A light touch of oak and a partial secondary fermentation have resulted in a wine of grace and focus. Subtle toasty notes and a hint of cream combine with a racy backbone to highlight this wines unique mineral and fruit aspects.
  Sauvignon Blanc
Intense aromas of flower bouquets and stone fruit combined with a rich mouth feel and crisp acids. A knockout combination with seafood and salads, raising scallops to new heights on your favorite small bites menu list.
  Thuja
The aroma of this blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon entices the nose with notes of black cherries and berries, toast and bright jam. The mouth feel is rich yet racy. This wine has the “yummy” factor and pairs well with cuisine from India to Italy, Provence to the Pacific Northwest. As with many fine wines, Thuja will benefit with decanting 1-3 hours prior to serving, depending on age.
