Dierberg Vineyard

Dierberg Vineyard The Dierberg vineyard is located fourteen miles from the Pacific Ocean in the southern end of the Santa Maria Valley and features a variety of hillside slopes, sandy loam soils and western exposures planted with an ensemble of classic, low yielding Burgundian clones. This ideal combination of climate, aspect, soil and clonal material allows us to produce truly distinctive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The first release of a Dierberg Chardonnay will be from the 2004 vintage. With an expected release in the latter half of 2006, the wine has enjoyed some bottle aging and will be ready to enjoy upon release. Crafted with the intent of being a classic wine, Dierberg Chardonnay will also benefit from cellaring and will continue to evolve for an additional three years.
