Chardonnay
A blend of our estate vineyards and neighboring Big Paw Vineyards. Nicely integrated fruit and oak due to barrel fermentation and light lees contact. Our Chardonnay is reflective of the cool climate it is grown in. It has bright focused fruit and a clean crisp finish. A superb wine to accompany a broad range of foods.
|
Chardonnay (Reserve)
We select fruit from the finest areas of our vineyards and vinify it separately in new French oak barrels. It is handled in the same way as our regular Chardonnay bottling, however it is stirred on the lees for a longer period of time. This extended lees and oak contact ,combined with specially selected fruit results in a wine with exceptional depth and richness.
|
Cherry Wine
A special blend of English Morrello, Balaton and Montmorency tart cherries. The wine is like cherry pie in a glass, however the sweetness is balanced by natural fruit acids to keep the finish from being cloying.
|
Fishtown White
Named after our local fishing village in Leland, Michigan. This blend is Chardonnay, Seyval, Vignoles and Pinot Gris. We are bottling a fruit forward wine with nuances of malolactic fermentation and French oak.
|
Harbor Red
A blend of Pinot noir and Marechal Foch from our estate vineyards and Chambourcin from the Lake Michigan Shore appellation in southern Michigan. The wine has a deep garnet hue and an aroma of dark sweet cherries, oak and vanilla. Soft tannins and a smooth semi dry finish.
|
Manitou
We blend the wonderful wine produced from the Vignoles (Ravat 51) grape with Chardonnay to give a wine with great citrus flavors and a mouth filling texture. Vignoles deserves more attention due to the quality of the wine it produces, however it is a shy bearing variety. Grown in northern Michigan it produces wines with a distinct grapefruit characteristic, in southern Michigan tropical fruits like pineapple predominate the aroma.
|
Moonstruck Brut
60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot noir from our estate vineyards are whole cluster pressed, cool fermented without malolactic fermentation. The méthode champenoise cuvee is held 18 months en tirage and finished off in a Brut style. Our Brut shows clean, fresh delicate fruit aromas, a light toast from the yeast contact and a smooth graceful finish.
|
Pinot Grigio
We currently have Michigan's largest planting of Pinot gris vines. The wine has delicate aromas of honeydew melon and pear. Barrel fermentation in seasoned barrels and partial malolactic fermentation add further complexities to our Pinot Gris.
|
Pinot Grigio (Reserve)
Portions of our Pinot Gris vineyard are set at a lighter crop level to ensure extra ripeness and are vinified separately from our main batch. We ferment in stainless steel vats to maintain the great fruit aromas of Pinot Gris. In the spring,we blend a portion of barrel fermented Chardonnay into the Pinot Gris to reinforce the backbone of the wine. A lovely wine to serve with seafood and fresh fish.
|
Pinot Noir
Our pinot noir blocks are planted with six different clones of pinot noir on C3309 and SO4 rootstocks. The fruit is pumped as whole destemmed berries into our rotovat and undergoes a traditional fermentation of the skins. The wine has red fruit characteristics similar to raspberries, strawberries and dark sweet cherries. Aging in newer French oak softens the wine and contributes and sweet vanilla background.

Trillium®
Our perennial blend of Riesling, Vignoles and Seyval has sweet, ripe tropical fruit aromas and a refreshing, crisp off-dry finish. Good Harbor introduced this wine in 1984 and it has developed a loyal following. "Trillium" is trademarked by Good Harbor Vineyards.
|
White Riesling
Our Riesling blocks are planted with clone 239 and 198 on C3309 rootstock. They yield a moderate crop of very aromatic crisp Riesling. The Leelanau Peninsula grows Riesling with aromas of pears and honey and delicate flowers. The crisp acidity aids in giving balance to a semi-sweet wine.
