Murphy Creek Vineyards was founded by William and Rebecca Race in 2002 and is located in Clements, CA. Clements is located in the far North East corner of California's great Central Valley. We are located in California Crush District 11, Clements Hills Appellation. We are in the Eastern Foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains about 600 feet above Sea Level (~200M). We are very fortunate to receive the long, hot, dry summer days, and the cool nights provided by the San Francisco Bay Fog, coming in each evening to cool the vines. Murphy Creek Vineyards provides Organically Grown Cabernet Sauvignon , and other 'Bordeaux' style Grapes for the Super Premium and Ultra Premium Markets. Through our commitment, experience, expertise and passion for truly great wines, Murphy Creek Vineyards has established a reputation amongst premium varietal producers that is second to none.
All of our fruit is grown to Organic Farming Standards established by the California Certified Organic Farming Organization. We live in the Vineyards, we do not use synthetic herbicides such as Glyco Phosphates, instead relying upon beneficial groundcover of natural grasses, mowing and mechanical tillage of the vinerow berm to control noxious weeds.
