More soloist than symphony, the 2000 reserve cabernet sauvignon is focused and expressive. fruit, fruit, fruit – black cherries, blackberries, cassis – combined with melted dark chocolate, are a clean expression of the cabernet and cabernet franc from our hill top vineyards. ripe, concentrated, slightly chewy mountain tannins create incredible length on the finish. this wine will cellar for years, but is also the perfect compliment to tonight’s edible delights

A patchwork of reds… Picked together… and fermented together… it knits together into a rich, fruit-driven wine that speaks of blackberries, blueberries, and cherries. Fresh and lively, but definitely not a lightweight, the silky tannins carry the fruit and bolster the spice.

Reminiscent of black olives and dried herbs, the 2000 merlot will remind you of a blackberry patch at the end of the season. earthy, dried fruits (black cherry, bing cherry, plum, cassis) coat the palate, carrying all the way through to a polished, seamless finish. This is a merlot that could be a cab with its ample, plentiful, ripe tannins. a harmony of fruit flavor, acidity and tannins on the finish. excellent with food and long on life. enjoy it now with appetizers and smelly cheeses, or cellar it for a future soiree.

The extremely small production of this jewel-of-the-ranch is an homage to founder, Robert Miner. It is predominately Cabernet Franc for power and earthiness, with Cabernet Sauvignon for fruit and structure. Inky Franc color with rich, round, flavors.
