Devault Vineyards is a very nice place. The staff is very friendly and the owner is the nicest old man. He believes in the right to open carry that is respected by the state of Virginia. All of their events follow the noise ordnance that is in place in Concord and they are close friends with the local sheriff. Every time there has been a complaint regarding the business it has come back unfounded and they haven't once had an event shutdown or any fines imposed. If they are going outside of the posted noise ordnance the apply for the proper permit months in advance. It gives this small town more to offer than 1 gas station and a dollar general.

I don't know why "Angered" would bash someone for handing out flyers at a school. I have attended many events at Devault Vineyards and all of them are family friendly. They almost always have their pool open with a life guard on duty. I actually saw the son of the owner save a child during an event. They also frequently have bounce castles and water slides along with face painting and lots of other fun things. This is a great place to take my children. Also when I have gone to events I have seen people get cut off to prevent "drunkenness" and they have even offered to drive people home. I don't understand that users personal vendetta against this great establishment but I do appreciate that they gave the business 5 Stars. (I can only assume they did this out of their ignorance of how it works.)

Mom and I visited the Tasting Room this week. We enjoyed the "country" feel of the interior--beautiful wood and many windows that give gorgeous views of the the vineyard. The family staff were friendly and had interesting personalities. Since "picking time" was only a few days away, they let us pick a few grapes and eat them! Ignore the "Pro-NRA" posters and you'll have a sweet time. Never let politics interfere with the enjoyment of a new wine!

Devault has very little respect for the neighbors in the community. Last summer the owner was walking down birchtree lane with a pistol strapped on his hip and starring at everyone he came in cantact with, as if to dare anyone ot say anything to him. Their music is blasting late into the night with disregard for the neighbors, Concord is a quiet village and the Sheriff Dept recieves complaints mostly everytime the vineyard is partying. There son or grandson was at Concord Elementary school last year passing out leflets for a wine party, not a good place to be advertising drunkenness.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly, and made us feel right at home. They even went as far as to give us a tour of the winery. There was a wide array of wines, I enjoyed their sweeter selections. A great day all around. Will certainly go back soon!
