2002 Chardonnay Reserve
2004 CA State Fair Silver 90 points. French oak aged 100% in Francois Freres barrels and went through 100% malolactic fementation. Creamy lemon meringue and an almond nut nose, with hints of butterscotch this wine has eveything a barrel-fermented Chardonnay should have.
Amador Old Vine Zinfandel
2005 CA State Fair Gold. Jammy, brambly characteristics packed with vanilla. This huge Zinfandel will cellar nicely through 2010.
Caberbet Franc
Blue Berries and violets with a hint of cedar. 100% Placer County Fruit from the Clos du Lac vinyard. Located off Auburn Folsom Rd. in Loomis. Last years Cabernet Franc sold out in 7 weeks.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Showing Very ripe cherries and wild mushrooms this Cabernet was barrel aged for 36 months. An awsome drinker right now but will cellar nicely for 5-7 years.
Chardonnay
Medium bodied, this Chardonnay is bursting with apricot and pear fruit flavors and finishes creamy. Our best Regular Chardonnay by far. With more oak than the last few vintages this wine has mainly American oak and is soft with a vanilla finish.
Cooper Vineyard Barbera
This wine shows a dusty spiciness with the American oak used for the aging this fine Barbera. It is a rare Barbera, very full bodied like a Cabernet Sauvignon but with out the bell pepper and black pepper characteristics, instead it shows more upfront fruit.
Estate Syrah
2005 CA State Fair Gold. If Viognier was a red wine it would be our Mt. Vernon Syrah! Packed with lavender, floral notes. This Syrah is our first Estate Syrah to come off our property.
Expression
This blend is made up from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petite Verdot. A well structured wine that has a wild berry nose and a smooth finish. Named Expression because this wine expresses some of the finest Bordeaux’s grown here in the magnificent grape growing region of the Sierra Foothills.
Merlot
2004 CA State Fair Bronze 87 pts. A true taste sensation, this medium to full bodied wine spent 10 days on its skins to deepen the color and over 25 months in mainly French Oak barrels. made with 100% El dorado County Merlot grapes with hints of black berry and cranberry fruit, this enjoyable wine has a slight vanilla, carmel nose with a toasty oak finish. truely as good as they come.
Petite Sirah
A mineral smell with terroir and ripe plum/ jam characteristics. This wine is made from some of the oldest Petite Sirah vines found in this area.
Port (Non-Vintage)
Made with 80% Syrah, this Port has Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and a blend of five Portuguese varietals. Neutral oak aging with some new American Oak provides a smooth fruity blend you are sure to love. The oldest vintage of wine in this blend dates back to October 1999.
Vintage Port Reserve
These vines were grown in Amador County. Black Berry and Honey Suckle notes are just a few distinctive smells in this huge, full-bodied Port.
