Estancia Estates Winery

Estancia Estates Winery At Estancia Estates each of our wines has its own singular way of expressing the ground and environment from which it was born. Being a vineyard-based winery is the essence of our philosophy. We believe a great wine is a reflection of the care and uniqueness of its terroir - the combined environment of soil, topography, climate and people. We are committed to nurturing this tie of wine to its soil, to its "somewhereness", so that each of our wines reflect the full expression of our vineyards. Our philosophy at Estancia Estates is founded in our conviction that the terroir of the variety is of the utmost importance in determining the wine's character, quality and value.

  Estancia Cabernet Sauvignon
In 1999, Estancia planted nearly 700 acres along the Estrella River benchland in Paso Robles; nearly 400 acres of which is Cabernet Sauvignon. This emerging region is ideal for producing grapes that result in complex and delicious Cabernet Sauvignon displaying intense black currant and dark cherry fruit flavors followed by a long, rich finish.
  Estancia Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles
Our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon has effusive black cherry, Dutch chocolate and currant aromas that complement the spicy, peppery notes and hints of toasted sweet oak. Opulent dark fruit flavors, with soft velvety tannins, which are followed by a long, rich finish.
  Estancia Chardonnay
Light straw gold in color. Fresh pear and crisp apple aromas are accentuated by notes of honeydew and a touch of floral on the finish. Bright tropical notes and stone fruit flavors compliment the vibrant nuances of citrus. Soft touches of toasty oak and cream accentuate the lingering, minerally finish.
  Estancia GSM
GSM, you ask? It stands for Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre - the three grapes blended to make this wine. They're also the principal varieties of France's Rhone Valley. Syrah holds sway in the north around Hermitage, Grenache dominates the southern Rhone region of Chateauneuf du Pape, while Mourvedre is used in the south to add complexity to blends. The three come together as an homage to Chateauneuf de Pape. The 2002 debut vintage sold out in record time. Fortunately, we have more this time around.
  Estancia Meritage Paso Robles
61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 9% Petit Verdot The 2004 Estancia Meritage has aromas of bright black cherries with soft notes of licorice, rosemary and sage are accented by subtle touches of mocha and soft oak. It is rich and bold with intense flavors of chocolate dipped black fruit, accompanied by notes of sweet oak. Wonderfully structured ripe tannins lead to a nice long, fruit driven finish.
  Estancia Merlot
Black juicy fruit gives this wine its distinguishable character. A round, soft and full mouth feel is followed by a long finish with overtones of sweet oak and chocolate.
  Estancia Pinot Grigio
Our 2006 Estancia Pinot Grigio has fresh aromas of pear, apricot and honeydew melon that are accented by hints of citrus and lemongrass. Crisp apple and pear flavors with notes of honey and ripe peach mingle softly with white pepper that adds a mineral touch to the vibrant, fruity finish.
  Estancia Pinot Noir Pinnacles Ranches
Ripe blueberry, black cherry and plum balanced by rich creamy vanilla leading to a smooth lingering finish.
  Estancia Reserve Chardonnay
The 2005 vintage is golden straw in color with aromas of ripe pear, fig and Golden Delicious Apple, which are accented by hints of citrus, hazelnut, caramel and vanillin. Notes of pear, Key Lime pie and a dollop of lemon custard flavors mingle with subtle nuances of toasty oak lead to a lingering creamy finish.
Estancia Reserve Pinot Noir Pinnacles Vineyard
Estancia Reserve Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands
Deep garnet in appearance with elegant fruit aromas that are complemented by soft notes of rose petals and enhanced by dark berries and hints of oak. Ripe black cherry and plum flavors are accented by soft silky tannins. Spicy sweet oak lined with a nice lingering finish.
  Estancia Sauvignon Blanc Pinnacles Ranches
The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc is a newest addition to our Estancia portfolio. With aromas of orange blossoms and lemon grass that are accented by soft hints of white pepper and flavors of green apple and bright citrus notes, this wine will be a refreshing summer find.
  Estancia Syrah Central Coast
82% Syrah, 11% Petite Sirah, 5% Grenache, and 2% Mourvedre Aromas of ripe, juicy blackberries and plum accented by hints of cocoa and soft oak. Mouth filling flavors of juicy fruit followed with notes of spicy oak and a rich lingering finish.
  Estancia Zinfandel
Our 2005 Estancia Zinfandel is a juicy, lively, medium-bodied red wine made for sipping in the company of good food. Ready to drink tonight, it will also taste delicious in five years. So pull out the cork and pour a glass with dinner or set it in your cellar and look forward to its brilliant flavors and opulent intensity at a future meal.
