Mayro-Murdick Wines

Mayro-Murdick Wines As husband and wife team, we share a lot: especially our love of pinot noir. Every time the wine list is passed out at a restaurant, we immediately scan for wines from Santa Lucia Highlands, Carneros, Burgundy, Oregon: places where great pinots are born and made. Pinot has been a big part of Mike's winemaking career. He brings Mayro-Murdick over fifteen years of winemaking experience with the pinot noir varietal. Mike has been a judge for the Orange County Wine Competition's pinot noir panel for many years, and has a strong sense of how to make great, drinkable, agreeable pinot noir that reflect where the wine was made. When Tina met Mike in 1992, she was a wine novice. However, everyone has to start somewhere, and Tina started learning about wine with what ultimately became her favorite varietal: pinot noir. In joining a large wine producer in 1999, she had unparalleled opportunities to try wines from around the world and learned the business of wine from some of the best in the industry. Like a perfect blend, we married our experiences (and each other) and came up with the idea to produce wines for pinophiles, people interested in exploring great pinot noirs for great pinot noir growing regions. The name Mayro-Murdick comes from the first names of our paternal grandfathers. Our pinot noirs are a tribute to our families, who have unconditionally supported out dreams of bringing quality pinot noirs to consumers around the world.
