Ara Riesling
A constellation in the Southern Hemisphere (just south of Scorpius). Named after the altar of the centaur known as Chiron, who was half horse - half man and thought to be the wisest creature on Earth. Ara is also known as the altar that Noah built after the Great Flood. Ara Riesling is only produced when the stars are in the right alignment – it represents power, concentration and ageability.
In just it's second year of production, Ara is already recognized as a cellar selection. Only the finest and most complex fruit was selected for this beautiful blend. It has a lovely golden hue color. Although it's a bit closed, there are aromas of slate, spice, apples, honey, peaches and hints of green tea. Tight and concentrated, the superb structure is harnessed by its well-integrated acidity. Wealthy with minerality and texture, Ara promises great things to come ... especially for those who are patient for 3 to 5 years. Only 90 cases were produced.

A delightful blend typically produced in Alsace: Riesling (44%), Pinot Gris (29%), Pinot Blanc (25%) and Gewurztraminer (2%). A brilliant gold color with green highlights. Crisp, floral and round with a touch of mineral undertones, gardenias, honey, lavender, nutmeg, peaches, limes and a hint of apricots, mangoes and pears. A unique wine that is unique to Brooks ... and like all wines, it's meant to be enjoyed with a variety of foods or on its own. 621 cases were produced.

Brooks Winery Pinot Noir "Janus" 03
Our flagship... the richest, most vibrant and intense blend that we produce. From rim to center, the color is rich and vibrant with highlights of dark garnet. The bright aromas of raspberries, cherries, strawberry jam, graphite, spice, nutmeg, earth and toasty oak are heightened with hints of blue fruits. On the palate, the wine follows with the aromatics and luscious fruit. A warm, dry year in the Willamette Valley pushing a vintage that was very big and succulent with fine tannins. The firm structure lends personality and persists effortlessly on the long and fine finish. Attractive now ... but will show considerable refinement with short-term cellaring.

Brooks Winery Pinot Noir "Runaway Red" 04
Aromas of dark fruits, bing cherries and hints of mushroom and earth. The palate is generous, bright, full of berries, finishing with clean acidity and very soft tannins. It is expected to take on more weight and complexity with time. As always... this is an accessible wine by nature and price!

Brooks Winery Riesling 04
The average age of vines from this vintage is 25 years old! Focused and intense with great purity and structure. Beautiful straw gold color with emerald highlights. Unfolds complex aromas of honey, wet stones, bee's wax, white flowers, lavender, citrus, orange peel and stone fruits. A great succulent attack on the palate with balanced acidity. The mid-palate is firm and juicy resulting in a long finish. The greatest reward will come to those who revisit this wine several times over the next five years! 526 cases were produced.

Rastaban Pinot Noir
A brilliant and deep purple color reveals right away that this dense Pinot is one of Mother Nature’s works of art. Although young and tight, the nose reveals aromas of new sweet oak, graphite, blueberries, earth, black raspberry, spice and blue plums. The wine coats the palate with a luscious fruit that is buttressed by ripe and full tannins. It finishes with great length and some rusticity. The 2003 Rastaban is an age-worthy wine and its exceptional depth, power and finesse needs at least short-term cellaring to allow its pieces to harmonize. Only 150 cases were produced.
