Flying Horse Winery

Flying Horse Winery Situated in the heart of Pope Valley, Flying Horse embodies this secluded, up-and-coming appellation of the Napa Valley. The 24 acre vineyard flourishes alongside the historic Aetna Springs Resort and offers a unique terroir of rocky, well drained soils with hot days and temperate evenings that deliver superior Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Like the carousel horses of the past, Flying Horse wines are hand-crafted, each fully expressing the "place" from which they come.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
Inky, dense and deep crimson-purple compliment ripe aromas of red currant, anise, black cherry, dried cranberry and tar minerality infused with subtle floral aromas of lavender, peony and crushed violets. Crème de cassis, crushed pepper, tobacco, leather and mulberry jam with velvet reception, finished with notes of earth, chocolate and black truffle. This Cabernet clearly expresses the terroir of the Brass Ring vineyard with its tremendous opulence and appropriate sophistication and flavor complexities
  Sauvignon Blanc
Aromatically intense fruit notes of kiwi, ripe honeydew and pink grapefruit with hints of green tea tempt the nose. On the palate this wine is dry, crisp and lively with a medium to full body. Pronounced citrus-tropical fruits, guava, shaved green pear and fresh grapefruit finished with tangerine and honey. Lingering flavors of lemongrass, lemon-rind and plenty of zest suggest it suitable for sipping and dining alike. This wine is food friendly and flexible. Enjoy as an aperitif, beside spicy cuisine or delicate seafood creations.
