Croft Bailey Vineyards

Croft Bailey Vineyards The Croft Bailey Vineyard is located in Polk County, Oregon approximately 4miles west of Monmouth. The property was purchased by Chancy and Toni Croft and Bill Bailey in the early 80's to grow premium wine grapes for sale to wineries located in the Willamette Valley. The site was selected for its suitability for this purpose. The property faces southwest with a pronounced slope on which the vines are planted. The slope provides the site with one of the better drained, deeper Coastal Range foothill vineyards. The elevation levels are also suited to the microclimate of the southwestern Willamette Valley in which the property is located.

Products

  Pinot Gris
Rating:Excellent "This relatively new Willamette Valley winery has crafted a delicious gris with toasty pear and lemon aromas with tasty citrus flavors nicely balanced with right-on acids." Wine Press Northwest Winter 2001
  Pinot Gris
Elements of its austere European counterparts combined with Willamette Valley toasty ripeness. An outstanding hot weather quaffer.
  Pinot Noir
A medium-bodied pinot noir with distinct cherry and berry character. A very pleasant, very easy drinking wine.
  Proprietor's Reserve Pinot Noir
Rating:92 "All about velvet, a wine for sipping in a dark, blue-lit room while watching Mulholland Drive. But moody as it is, there's nothing foreboding about it. Instead it's just plush, cool, refined, seeming to shimmer in red persimmon fruitiness. That fruit is succulent, the creamy tannins fine-grained, the feel composed yet informal." Wine and Spirits February 2002
  Reserve Pinot Noir
"This delicious pinot is Burgundian in style with earthy green olive and herbal aromas and rich cherry, blackberry and early plum flavors. A complex, delicious wine." Wine Press Northwest Winter 2001
