Hoffman Farms Winery

Hoffman Farms Winery Amidst the 1830 s, Elias Doty chose to farm a picturesque stretch of countryside that spanned 300 acres in both Highland and Rose Townships. In 1973, Susan Briggs Fisher bought the property years after she had married into the legendary Fisher Body family. Her father, Walter O. Briggs, was the largest automobile body manufacturer in the country. To Detroiters, he was even better known as the owner of the Tigers and Briggs Stadium. In 1993, Bob Hoffman purchased this idyllic farm. Today, Hoffman Farms continues to maintain the farming and stabling traditions of its predecessors. Hoffman Farms is the largest equestrian facility in Oakland County offering large indoor and outdoor arenas, stabling in multiple barns and large pastures for turnout. Blackstone Stables is housed at the farm providing hunter jumper riding lessons from beginner to advanced levels, training, and sales. In keeping with its agricultural heritage, Hoffman Farms Winery opened to the public in October, 2016. The pillared tasting room is attached to the front of the indoor riding arena. Hoffman Farms Wine is produced with Michigan grown grapes. Wine tasting, wine by the glass, bottles, hard cider, merchandise and gift baskets are available. We also offer outdoor seating to enjoy the pastoral farm.
