Morovino

Morovino Morovino is a small winery located in the heart of the Santa Barbara wine country. The wines are fermented and aged in American and French oak barrels. The grapes are purchased from some the best, matured vineyards in the county and processed at the Central Coast Wine Services in Santa Maria, California. Morovino will produce 70 tons of grapes this coming harvest, for a total of 4000 cases of wine of varietals that include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Barbera, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

  Barbera 99
Made from the grapes of the Los Alamos Vineyards in Los Alamos, CA., a proven source for some of the best grapes grown in the Santa Barbara County. An Italian style, easy to drink red wine, wonderful aroma and legs abound in this velvety smooth red wine.
  Chardonnay 03
This wine spent more time "sur lees" to retain the up front, fruity character, lush with melon and grapeafruit flavors. These are the first of our estate grown grapes from the Morovino Vineyards, in the famed Santa Rita Hills appelation, a proven source for some of the best Chardonnays made in the Central Coast.
  Dolcetto 02
Made from the grapes of the Morovino Vineyards that are grown on the cool side of the Santa Rita Hills. A hardy, fruit forward red wine, unfiltered, estate grown wine.
  Merlot 99
Made from the grapes of the Bien Nacido Vineyards in Santa Maria, CA., a proven source for some of the best Merlots made in the Santa Barbara County. Crimson red, wonderful aroma and legs abound in this deliciously fruity and velvety smooth red wine. A great value
  Sangiovese 01
Made from the grapes of the Los Alamos Vineyards in Los Alamos, CA., a proven source for some of the best grapes grown in the Santa Barbara County. A Chianti style California/Italian red wine, easy to drink, Pairs well with your favorite Italian dinners.
  Tango 99
It takes two to tango and this wine is just that, a 50/50 blend of Merlot and Zinfandel from grapes of the French Camp Vineyards and the Carrari Vineyards. Aged in French and American oak for 18 months and enhanced through Malolactic fermentation to bring out the smooth rich taste of this unique wine.
  Zinfandel 99
This wine is one of the smoothest Morovino has made. The wine was fermented in French oak barrels and enhanced through malolactic fermentation to bring out its smooth rich flavors. A winner at the 2002 Orange County Fair.
