Macari Vineyards & Winery
|
|
The Macari wine estate is set in Mattituck on the East End of Long Island. Spanning 360 acres, the vineyards stretch to the Mattituck Hills overlooking scenic Long Island Sound. This property has been in the Macari family for nearly forty years, though the winery itself was established by Joseph T. Macari, Sr. in 1994. Mr. Macari Sr. now heads this truly family endeavor and the nature in which the land is nurtured and cared for expresses the deep affinity the Macaris have with the Earth. This family effort is represented by the Roman Centurion's head, a feature taken from an heirloom that has come to symbolize teamwork, dedication and family tradtion.
