Eagle Crest Vineyards
|
|
Eagle Crest Vineyard was founded in 1872 as O·Neh·Da Vineyard by Bishop Bernard McQuaid as a reliable source of sacramental wine for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester. We are located above the pristine western shore of Hemlock Lake at the western edge of the Finger Lakes Region in Livingston County, New York. With a long history, and under the O·Neh·Da label, Eagle Crest is still a large producer of altar wines being shipped throughout NYS and most of the eastern seaboard. Eagle Crest is the second oldest still operating winery in the Finger Lakes. Hemlock Lake is the jewel of the Finger Lakes as one of the only two lakes with undeveloped shoreline and now owned by the City of Rochester as a water supply. Our name comes from the fact that Hemlock Lake is home to one of the longest continuous nesting sites in NYS for a pair of bald eagles. All wines at Eagle Crest are 100% pure grape wine and we are now offering some for you to enjoy. Follow signs to the winery from Hemlock, South Livonia or Livonia Center. It is well worth the drive once you find us on the beautiful hillside.
