Paraduxx Winery

Progress continues on the construction of the Paraduxx winery. Situated along the eastern edge of the Napa Valley, north of the town of Yountville on the Silverado Trail, the winery will be perfectly located to welcome our customers who have appreciated Paraduxx for nearly ten years. As of March 2005, we have completed the construction of one building, which now houses barrels that are aging the 2003 Paraduxx (to be released January 2006). The architectural centerpiece of the winery the decagonal fermentation cellar is now being framed with steel beams. This building will house all of our fermentation tanks, and a traditional basket press for the extraction of the free-run juice from the grape skins. Our goal is to have this production cellar ready to crush grapes from the 2005 harvest, which (amazingly) is only nine months away. Further along in its progress, the construction team has just about completed framing the walls and roof of the Paraduxx farmhouse where visitors will be welcomed for vertical tastings of Paraduxx and sales of current release and library wines. If the weather continues to cooperate, we anticipate receiving guests just in time for the 2005 harvest.

Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine
Our 2002 Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine is a medium bodied wine with mouthfilling fruit, soft tannin structure, balanced acid, and a lingering finish. The aroma is lush with black currant, coconut, vanilla, blackberry jam, pepper, oak, and spice. The flavors are dominated by sweet black fruits such as cherry, blackberry, and plum followed by chocolate, vanilla, toasted oak and caramel.

Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine
This is a full-bodied wine with generous, soft tannins that should allow it to age well for the next decade. The aroma reveals a profusion of fruits including blackberries, blueberries, plums and black cherries, which are complemented by notes of vanilla, toasted coconut and cedar. Bold flavors fill the mouth with black currant, tobacco, dried herbs and hints of spice. The finish lingers with elements of toasty oak and black pepper.

Paraduxx Napa Valley Red Wine
This enjoyable effort exhibits a range of dark fruit aromas including raspberry, black cherry and currant. The initial scent is smoky with layers of toasted coconut and vanilla which evolves into hints of rose petal framed by caramelized sugar and clove while underneath are traces of cocoa and soy. The bright acidity as the wine enters your mouth belies the strawberry and blackberry jam flavors that follow quickly and then give way to mild mid-palate tannins. The smooth finish lingers with hints of white pepper, tobacco and toasty oak.
