Big Spring Spirits

Local legend has it that in 1792, Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand, a French statesman with a questionable past and shady diplomatic skill, visited the Big Spring of central Pennsylvania. There he exclaimed βLa belle fonte!β and so well liked was his utterance that the town was named Bellefonte. Sourced from the Scotia Barrens watershed β where the surface water percolates slowly through the sandy soil and then deeper into the porous dolomite bedrock β the naturally filtered water from the Big Spring in Bellefonte is the linchpin of our remarkable spirits.
Because Big Spring Spirits is a boutique distillery, we contract the finest ingredients from local farmers who are as passionate about agriculture as we are about spirits.
From the herbaceous 7 Governors Gin to the lush Talleyrand Bourbon, our blends epitomize the finest essences and passionately nurtured ingredients procurable. We at Big Spring Spirits are dedicated to making uncompromised spirits coddled from field to bottle.
