Welcome to Icaria Creek Winery and Vineyards. We are located approximately 1.5 hours north of San Francisco, in Sonoma County. The fifty acre ranch has 26 acres nestled into the Asti Foothills at the northern tip of Alexander Valley. Most of the hillside vineyard sits about 400 feet above sea level where we have planted Cabernet Sauvignon (Clone 7, 337), Merlot (Clone 3), Malbec, and Petite Verdot. We also have ten acres of Chardonnay within the deep alluvial floor of Alexander Valley. We have both the warm days for intensity, and cool nights for acidity. The hillsides give us layers of complexity that are tailor-made for constructing a "food wine". Pairing food with wine is what Icaria Cabernet is all about. We did not spend three years of our time to make some overdone fruit bomb. Our Cabernet is based on elegance and subtlety, and the best thing is that it's only three years old. It's only just begun its' evolution through time.

ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
95% Cabernet Sauvignon; 2.5% Petite Verdot; 2.5% Malbec.
Ripe dark cherry, chocolate and floral Rose Petal, vanilla, resin, and pretty toasted oak. Hints of anise and pencil lead. The structure has a solid acid backbone. Tannins are firm and broad with a beautiful elegant lingering finish that is clean and pretty. This wine has enough restraint for it to pair with a variety of dishes from pork loin to steak with a classic béarnaise sauce.

ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON
99% Cabernet Sauvignon; 0.5% Petite Verdot; 0.5% Malbec. Fifty percent of the cabernet is aged on new French oak. The cooperage is Seguin Moreau and Tonnellerie Radoux, of which we purchase Chateau Ferre Alllier, and Chateau Ferre Nevers barrels. Medium-plus toasting is our preference.
