Named after the smooth, round, rolling hills of the Palouse in Eastern Washington, our wines are exquisite and sensuous. Always soft and round on the palate, never bitter or acidic. Palouse Winery is located on a small island in the Puget Sound just west of Seattle, we pride ourselves at making small quantities of extremely high quality wines. The vineyard where we source our fruit is located at 1,400', the highest vineyard in Washington State. The soil here is very thin, ranging from a few inches to a few feet over a caliche layer of calcified mud. The grapes have to struggle to survive in this environment and give the fruit incredible intensity.
