Grape Creek Vineyards

Grape Creek Vineyards Welcome! As Grape Creek Vineyard enters into our 18th year of celebration, we look to new horizons to keep our loyal customers up-to-date on the wines that we have available. This web site is dedicated to informing you of what's new in the vineyard, new winery techniques that we may use, and where you may obtain our wines from sources other than our own boutique winery gift shop.

Visit us here in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, located on Hwy 290, just four (4) miles west of Stonewall, or nine (9) miles east of Fredericksburg. We're about an hour from either Austin, or San Antonio. It's a beautiful scenic drive in and around the area, so bring your camera!

  "Black Label" Port
Grape Creek's "Black Label" Port is wonderfully full-bodied, rich and elegant and imparts complex dried fruits, walnut, almond and cinnamon spice characteristics. Our Port has faired well in competitions, most notably a Silver from the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
The 2004 Bellissimo is Grape Creek's initial release of a Super Tuscan style red wine and our first premium "Black Label" wine. This Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blend yields aromas of black cherries, spices and toasted oak with hints of vanilla. Bellissimo has won SEVEN medals from numerous competitions in California and Texas.
  Cabernet Blanc
This unique, semi-sweet wine has been a Grape Creek favorite for years. Cabernet Blanc is produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes but in the Rose' style which produces nuances of wild berries, logan berries, strawberries and hints of honeysuckle.
  Cabernet Sauvignon/ Syrah
The characteristics of these two distinguished varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, blend to make a complex, well balanced wine full of velvety smooth tannin and flavor. Distinctive aromas of violets, black pepper and cassis with undertones of vanilla and chocolate will showcase this black label wine. Limited quantities available.
  Cuvee Blanc
Cuvee Blanc is a blended, dry white wine composed of Chenin Blanc, French Columbard and Pinot Grigio. You will enjoy aromas of ruby-red grapefruit, lemons, pineapple and hints of butterscotch. The Cuvee Blanc was a Lone Star Wine Competition medal winner.
  Grand Rouge
The 2006 Grand Rouge is a medium bodied blend of Sangiovese and Merlot finished in a semi-sweet style. The two varieties come together to exhibit characteristics of blackberries, violets and blueberries. Best served chilled.
Black currants, rasberries, cinnamon spice and floral notes highlight the 2005 Merlot. Aging in American oak barrels contribute slight aromas of vanilla and toasted oak. This wine's medium-bodied elements harmonize, lending a silky texture and smooth finish.
Mosaic is a premium "Black Label" wine that is blended using traditional Bordeaux grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Aging in oak barrels for 24 months creates a complex and elegant wine which expresses fragrances and flavors of blackberries, black currant, vanilla, chocolate, violets and cinnamon.
  Muscat Canelli
At Grape Creek our Muscat Canelli is made as a dessert-style wine, similar to an Italian Muscato. This sensual and exotic wine exhibits strong aromas of lemon grass and orange zest and pairs well with fresh fruits, fruit sorbets and lemon tarts. This wine is a favorite of patrons and wine competitions alike, having won medals in the Lone Star, Long Beach and San Francisco competitions.
  Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio has become a wine lover's favorite. Grape Creek's Pinot Grigio is a charming, light and crisp wine with aromas and flavors of pineapple, pear, bananas and other tropical fruits. This wine has won medals in Texas, San Francisco and a gold medal in Long Beach!
White Wine, Dry. The Sauvignon Blanc grape is so versatile for winemaking. Without oak, it's crisp and full of citrus characteristics. With oak, it's soft and creamy as in the Fumé Blanc. This wine is full of orange and grapefruit peel, boxwood, and cantalope melon aromas and tastes. Even though a crisp wine, it has soft and supple characteristics with a hint of jasmine. This Bronze Medal winner has 13.6% Alc. by Vol. Bottled 473 cases, April 10, 2003.
The 2007 Viognier exhibits a delicate balance of wildflowers and honey with rich flavors of peach and apricot. This exceptionally balanced wine pairs well with many dishes including salmon, lobster or even sirloin steak!
