Bel Lago Winery Beautiful Lake…Bel Lago wines are made from grapes grown in family-owned vineyards overlooking Lake Leelanau and Lake Michigan. Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a variety of other still and sparkling wines are carefully crafted for your pleasure. Surrounded by a Pinot Grigio vineyard, Bel Lago Winery features a tasting room with a panoramic view of the beautiful southern end of Lake Leelanau.

From Suttons Bay or Leland, travel M204 inland to the village of Lake Leelanau, go south 7 miles on South Lake Shore Drive (CR 643). From Cedar, travel north 1/4 mile; go right on Schromberg Rd.; travel 1/4 mile to S. Lake Shore Dr.; go right and travel 5 miles to Bel Lago.

A lovely wine, made from Alsacian variety Auxerrois, sur lie aged, 20% barrel fermented. Fruit flavors, with apple and lemony aromas smooth and clean on the palate with subtle hints of oak. A delicious dry white wine. Fabulous with grilled salmon.

  Cherry Primavera NV
Fresh spicy cherry, apple and citrus aromas. A blend of 20% tart cherry wine and 80% white grape wine. A beautiful blush color with a cherry-red hue. A semi-sweet wine.
  Cherry Wine
A flavorful blend of the Hungarian tart cherry varieties Danube and Balaton and the Heirloom French variety Montmorency, all grown on Leelanau Peninsula.
Delightful fruit flavors, lychee and rose petals with ample amounts of spice in a wonderful, lingering finish. A cool climate classic. Rich and full-bodied.
  Leelanau Conservancy Crystal River Cuvee
A blend of Chardonnay, Auxerrois, Vignoles, and other select grape varieties, 50% barrel fremented. Complex, mouth-filling pear, peach, pineapple, and citrus notes, with a touch of toasty oak. Wonderful, long, lingering finish.
  Leelanau Primavera NV
Crisp, fresh aromas of apple, pear and citrus make this a remarkably pleasant, easy-drinking wine. Our most popular white wine.
  Pinot Grigio
Stainless steel fermented, sur lie aged for 6 months. Fresh citrus, pear, and yeast aromas. Rich Italian style. Crisp and clean on the palate, perfect with seafood.
  Pinot Grigio & Chardonnay
A flavorful blend of stainless steel fermented, sur lie aged Pinot Grigio (75%) and barrel fermented Chardonnay (25%). Flavor synergy that brings out the best of both varieties. A versatile wine.

  Pinot Gris "barrel aged"
Aged in French oak barrels to focus the fine flavors of the 1999 vintage. Soft peach, pear, and honey favors with a hint of vanilla. Excellent with pork and seafood.

Cabernet franc and other selected red varieties aged in American oak. A big, complex red, rich and flavorful with a great, lingering finish. Excellent. Bel Lago's premier dry red wine.
