Calistoga Cellars

Calistoga Cellars Without friendship, wine is altogether one-dimensional. Something to wash down a meal. But to those who love wine and wine-making, friendship is their core inspiration. From the winery to the tasting room to the dinner party, hospitality, celebration, dialogue, graciousness, romance and social gathering all contribute equally to the experience that is wine. Friendship likely never before has been taken to such lengths in the wine making business as when the original partners from around the United States joined forces to create Calistoga Cellars. Not the typical story of abandoning the rat race to settle into an earth-bound lifestyle in a leafy little wine country hamlet, Calistoga Cellars instead is owned primarily by ambitious professionals who keep their day jobs, but contribute immeasurably to the winery's success. The secret to the unfurling success of Calistoga Cellars lies not just in an inspired wine maker considered enlightenly unpretentious by managing partner Roger Louer or the bounty and beauty of the estate vineyards. Success for this winery comes more from the passionate contributions of the owners who act as ambassadors for business development and brand marketing among distributors, retailers, and restaurants in their own backyards. It is the constant human touch so crucial to a winery's success but often too expensive and exhausting for upstart wineries to implement year-round.

  Calistoga Cellars Cabernet Port
This is our third release of port, made from late harvested Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at the Louer Family Vineyard.
  Calistoga Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon
We're sure that this wine will be as great as, if not better than our past vintages. The 2005 vintage started out wet and cool, followed by heat in August and a cool autumn. Harvest finally wrapped up just before Thanksgiving – one of the longest harvests on record. Overall, the vintage shows exceptional quality, and we expect that this year will be one of the best of the decade.
Calistoga Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Louer Family Vineyards
Calistoga Cellars Louer Family Cabernet Sauvignon is made of fruit sourced from the Louer Family Vineyard in St. Helena. This is the first release of our single vineyard Louer Family Reserve. This wine was created by meticulously picking the best fruit of the vineyard to create a limited release wine of superior quality and depth.
  Calistoga Cellars Chardonnay
Light in color, with a clear and brilliant appearance. Beautifully balanced, with just the right mix of ripe pear, melon and green apple, accented by mild hints of oak. To the palate the wine is medium bodied with a long and very soft finish, which fills the mouth with vanilla.
  Calistoga Cellars Merlot
If you like Merlot, you'll LOVE this one! As good as, if not better than our past vintages. Blended with our Cabernet Sauvignon it has BIG, bold flavors of ripe currants, plum and black cherries coupled with hints of herbal and oak aromas. Shows complexity in it's deep, dark, ruby color.
  Calistoga Cellars Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon Blanc is made with beautifully defined flavors of fruit. It is ripe, rich, and concentrated, with hints of grapefruit, pear and tropical citrus. The finish is long, crisp and clean.
  Calistoga Cellars Zinfandel
This Napa Valley Zinfandel's beautiful color is coupled with unusual Zinfandel flavor, rich in plump black cherry and currant flavors, that finishes with a light touch of vanilla.
