Generations of Sonoma

Generations of Sonoma Newly formed as Generations of Sonoma Winery, our small group of families has had roots in Sonoma and the local areas for as many as four generations. We have all been involved in the food and wine community for a number of years, with each of us sharing our own expertise: from design to marketing and from production to packaging. It came naturally for us to band together and put forth our talents as a unique and dynamic wine concept. Over the past years, we realized that the many families of Sonoma County, with their unique and separate professions, contribute to the continuing success of our local wine industry. This industry is family-oriented and centers around food, wine and the sharing of both with friends. This belief was shared by our own families and became the heart of Generations of Sonoma Winery. Located in the beautiful Sonoma Valley, we have some of the finest vineyards producing our grapes, a sundry assortment of local ingredients, and activity partnerships that span NASCAR auto-racing, professional cycling venues and wine tasting events. We look forward to sharing our wines, on your table, with your own generations!

  Abandon Carneros Chardonnay
  Generations of Sonoma Aleatico
One of the very few Aleatico wines produced in the United States, our holds rare flavors found in red wines. The red-Aleatico grape is a cousin of the white Muscat varieties, and as such, retains the floral, rosey, and honey-like Muscat aromas and flavors. It vinifies into a soft, fragrant and light spirited dessert or aperitif wine. The wine retains a 5% residual sugar and 16% alcohol with no blending or fortification it's 100% Aleatico with an arrested fermentation. Although classified as dessert wine, boding well with fruits, cheeses, tarts and desserts; its silky structure lends to an unobtrusive mouthfeel to pair with pre-dinner salads touched with fruits and nuts.   Highway 12 - Sonoma Valley Cabernet Field Blend
Aged in two year old French Oak barrels, the oak delivers balance with the vast fruit character for which Sonoma is known. Then bottled in February of 2006, which is somewhat early for its varietal blend, I opted to release it with a screw-cap closure; I felt the finish captures and holds the flavor of the wine, and delivers a traditional Sonoma Valley wine with a non-traditional closure. A hearty and very balanced blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, these traditional Bordeaux counterparts provide structure, big fruit and a silky texture suitable for most palates around the dinner table.
