Dunham Cellars

Dunham Cellars Using grapes from some of the finest vineyards in the Walla Walla, Yakima and Columbia Valleys, Dunham Cellars has established an award-winning reputation for their Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. When Eric’s first vintage, a 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon was released, it was deemed one of the finest wines made in Washington from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Dunham Cellars Syrah is also earning high marks with wine writers and consumers alike, and Eric shows his artistic side by creating hand-painted “artist series” labels for this Dunham wine. The winery makes its home in a rustic, remodeled World War II era airplane hangar in Walla Walla, and the future looks promising for Dunham Cellars. The family-owned winery continues to increase production and wine varietals, as well as planting their own “Estate” vineyards in prime locations around the Walla Walla Valley Appellation. Dunham Wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Trutina (a Bordeaux style blend), Red table wine and a special, limited production Chardonnay called “Shirley Mays”, which is dedicated to Eric’s grandmother. A portion of the proceeds of this wine are dedicated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

  Dunham Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon VII
Another great vintage in Washington State. Cassis and minty black cherry dominate this richly structured and balanced wine. Nuances of new leather, allspice and pomegranate lend great support to its subtle layers.
  Dunham Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon VIII
Rich and vibrant black currants, anise and plum match well with the viscous black cherry and plum note on the palate. Winemaker Eric Dunham feels this wine really sets the bar for the future.
  Dunham Cellars Columbia Valley Syrah
Huge black cherry, cassis, ripe raspberry, hard cherry candy and cola ride on the viscous, effusive mouth. A blend of three estate vineyards, this wine has a balance of fruit and structure to age well into the future.
  Dunham Cellars Columbia Valley Syrah
Cassis and red cinnamon with pomegranate aromas carry over to a wonderfully viscous blueberry, cassis and chocolate-coated palate. Generous bright fruit notes blended strategically with dark earthen overtones make this one of the most exciting Syrahs Eric Dunham has produced.
  Dunham Cellars Shirley Mays Chardonnay
Meringue and ripe pear on the nose, with hints of passion fruit, kiwi and slight lemongrass. The mouth lingers with ripe pear, crisp kiwi and honeydew melon. Lightly oaked, with a color of spun gold, this wine is designed to be a crisp, food-friendly Chardonnay. Best served lightly chilled.
  Dunham Cellars Trutina
“Trutina,” a Latin word meaning ‘balance,’ is what we are striving for each time we blend the noble varietals of Bordeaux. Mocha, boysenberry and bright Bing cherry really pull this wine along. Rich, yet clean and effusive with multiple layers of bright stone fruits and berries. Aged in 100% tight-grained French oak.
  Dunham Cellars Trutina
“Trutina,” a Latin word meaning ‘balance,’ is what we are striving for each time we blend the noble varietals of Bordeaux. This vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. It exudes rich brambleberry, blackberry, coffee and anise characters with a long, clean finish. Aged in 100% tight-grained French oak.
  Dunham Shirley Mays Semillon
Sweet honeysuckle, graham cracker, honeydew melon and pineapple round out the palate of this spicy, crisp Semillon. Great balanced acidity to pair well with food.
  Three Legged Red
Each year, Dunham Cellars blends a portion of its wines into this red table wine. Using fruit from some of Washington's finest vineyards and using the same barrels in which our finest Cabernet, Merlots and Syrahs are aged, we are able to maintain the consistent high quality of our top wine, as well as create a great everyday wine that is price-friendly.
