George Husmann, known as the "father of the Missouri grape industry," played a major role in establishing the state as a leading wine producer in the 19th century. His career began here in Missouri and then took him to Napa, where he helped to establish that region's wine industry as well. G. Husmann Wine Co. wines reflect that heritage and history, blending wine from our Missouri vineyards with vinifera from our sister vineyards in California. The blends are named for key players in the history of Hermann, where you can tour Husmann's home and nurseryy at Hermann Farm and Museum, just down the road from our tasting room on East First Street.
