Our Portteus Vineyards Syrah is 100% syrah from Portteus Vineyards in Zillah. The intense bouquet has a complex, fragrant dark fruit with black licorice, smoke and vanilla overtones. The palate transcends the bouquet with more intensity of black berries, dark cherries, velvety tannins, hints of black licorice and oak coating the palate with a complexity of flavors. Our Syrah won Gold at the Washington State Wine Competition in 2005 and Bronze at the Savor the Flavor Wine Competition in the Tri-Cities 2005. It is a wonderful compliment to almost any meal.
